I was a ’little’ excited when I saw this; a Farmhouse Ale, must be a new saison for me. Alas, it was not to be seeing htat this is a Golden/Blond Ale. Poured a medium and cloudy yellow color with almost no head. Aromas of grains and some citrus. Tastes of the same. JorisPPattyn (5168), Antwerpen, Belgium

Sourish nose, lactic, buttery (not diacetyl, however). Straw/grains/greenmalt flavours. Buttery is diminished, compared to the nose, but still slightly sourish. Isobutyric acid, or something similar? Sweet aftertaste, weirdly straw, fatty. Very light, reasonably refreshing. This is an AFTER lawnmowing beer. Took the grass and fermented it. Tx, DA. Cornfield (4928), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA

It smells of honey gone bad, more like candy corn. Feels like oily water spiked with chemicals on the tongue. The flavor is an off honey with canned corn and an odd sourness. I have no idea what the brewer was going for here, but I hope this was not the intended goal. JPDIPSO (4898), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Nov 9, 2007 Lightly hazed light golden color with a taller, bubbly, somewhat diminishing off white head. Grainy aromas with a hint of grassy hops. Has a slight malt liquor scent. As the grains and hops diminish, a light pale malt scent comes in. Light plat sweetness throughout the quaff that lingers and seems to become a little sticky. A dry finish with a touch of citrus. A fizzy and biting feel. The sweetness returns in the linger along with some corn and grains. Heavier than a lager, lightly fruity, somewhat citric. Interesting ale, albeit a less than energetic one. Poured hazy golden amber color with an average white head that diminished slowly with fair lacing. Light sweet yeasty aroma. Medium sweet yeasty flavor and small sweet grainy finish of short duration.
Overly sweet and a below average presentation of a golden/blond ale. heemer77 (4303), Savannah, Missouri, USA

The body is lightly hazy bright gold with a white head. The aroma is light dandelions with some musky perfume. The taste is nasty old canned pears with some strange metal. The body is lightly carbonated with a light body. There are some notes of nasty magazine paper. A sour finish with some dried cranberry notes, but not in a good way. I don’t know how else to describe this fairly disgusting concoction. BBB63 (4228), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/20 | Mar 27, 2009 Bottle and served in standard pint glass: DAMN IT, I was expecting a Saison or at least a Biere de Garde and not a flaccid blond ale. Well it is golden and clean with some head but little lace. The aroma has notes of noticeable Diacetyl and corn, some walnut and dusty yeast ester (must be a house character, arrgh). The taste is well, very minimal and what is there is simply not that good. Butterscotch and corn, yippie! The is a note of hop bitterness but I feel bad for any hop pellets used in this beer, they deserved a better life. Well, the mouth feel is a tad more refreshing than the pils but still not that clean however. Blah, taking one for the team.
