There are times when an ice-cold beer fits the bill. This is an easy-drinking brew that’s reliably tasty without being fussy. It’s a straightforward beer with good hop flavor without it being over the top. This speaks of a simpler time when you could order a beer, and they wouldn’t bring you a full menu. They’d just bring a good beer at a good price. Life can be complicated, but your beer does not have to be. Enjoy the taste of Simpler Times.

This beer mocks you for expecting a range of choice? It smells sweet, corny and sugary, and almost estery as if it is in on some cruel joke about false style-expectations. Effervescent yellow beer, initial head collapses fast. Apple core sweet taste, hairy aftertaste. Described as ’lawnmower beer’ it also has the consistency of a cola. Take a pass on this one.

355ml can. Clear golden pour, quickly dissipating white head. Aroma of tutti fruity bubblegum. Flavor is malt liquor with a hint of fruit. Basically malt liquor that isn’t labelled as such

12oz can, thanks to Chris R. $0.59 sticker on top of the tab. Code on the bottom of the can reads 15 294 16. Clear golden color, with a nice finger of slightly off-white head. Fades to virtually nothing.. Caramel malt up front, bready malt, some yellow corn and macro lagery funk. Moderate to bigger sweet taste... pretty sweet... with a light to moderate bitter finish, and a bigger bite than expected. Medium body, kind of slick. Light to moderate strength carbonation, with a kind of rough texture. A fuller-bodied amber lager... But not a great one by any means. Worth trying for 60c I suppose. You get what you pay for.

I was actually surprised with how good this was for the price! Weak head and no lacing. Bit darker than a typical lager and certainly a higher alcohol content. Malty with a bit of sweet malty corn flavor. For an inexpensive route, I’d rather serve this than most mega-brews.

12oz can, from Trader Joe’s in Seattle. Pale, still, gray gold. Mild eggy banana, typical sweet lager. A bit sour banana but not the worst strong lager I’ve tried.

12oz can - I guess if you wanted to save a few dollars and go this route, you could. Aside from being really cheap, not Bud/Miller/Coors and an okay beer in a can you shouldn’t expect too much from this beer. Corn would be the one item in both the aroma and flavor that was easy to pick-out. But there was also some wet grass that was there, which I would say could be hops...or maybe they used wet grass in the ingredient list. A touch of agave syrup/creamed corn on the palate, with just a bit of hop bite. Easy to drink for sure.

Pours yellow with short lived white head.Grail, floral and grass aroma. Grain, floral, corn, grass and malt flavors. Light body and average carbonation. Sweet flavor and a corn and grass finish.

Save your time and money. The beer is horrible. It’s cheap for a reason. No quality. ALL THE BEER is watery dish-water. Sure, one can buy this from Trader Joe’s for a low price, but really, what you get is nothing on par to quality. I’d rather put the extra money towards a pint or six pack of something more proven and worthwhile. This beer is made cheap for a reason and its to sell out. The owners, both non brew-masters by the way, just some trust fund rich kids, are slinging this dishwater to steal your money. I mean go on the website, it shows the guy walking out of his Escalade SUV and the interviews with him and the sister "co-owner" show the trust fund babies they are...both siblings are narcissistic and ridiculous. I would give this a zero rating if I could. I really am not a troll, I only tell the truth.

Straight from can. Macro corn and biscuit aromas. Sweet and sour grass, corn, and hay upfront turning dry in the medium length cloying finish.

"if i were rating this on price alone, it would score higher. as it was, i was hoping for but not really expecting, an average beer. what i got was a step above a typical macro lager, but just a step. lots of corn sweetness, a touch of hops, slightly unpleasant carbonation...little else. no complexity. not better/worse ice cold or warming. just meh. a very tiny bit more interesting than the pils."

Golden pour. Small white head. No lacing. Muddled aroma of malt and vegetation. Taste is a bitter mirror of the sane.
