!@ oz can from Trader Joes. Light color, thin disapating head. Sweet aroma and taste of pears. Would recommend it for making beer can chicken.

12oz bottle. Gold with a weak head. Aroma was a blast of grain husk and corn at first, but settled into a bit more sweet and floral character. Grainy and corny flavor. Very similar to the lager, but a bit more plant like flavor and less malt. A bit of bitterness on the finish, but the hops are still relatively subtle. Light bodied, but not watery. Eh, I think the lager had a better overall flavor. I just don’t like extra hops in a less than good lager, they just seem to make it worse.

Tmoney99 (10585) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 23, 2008
Bottle from Trader Joe’s - Cincinnati. Poured clear amber color with an average to large frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate grass hop and malt aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Light to medium sweet flavor with a light to medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Cheap and better of the two Simpler Times.

bitbucket (2159) - Kirkland, Washington, USA - OCT 20, 2008
Bottle from TJs. They’re selling these for $4.99 as sixpack. Pours clear gold with a thick and lacy white head .Medium body and carbonation. Biscuit and grass aroma. Sweet toffee and biscuit taste, seems a little corny? Crisp and somewhat floral hops finish. Comes down a bit on the sweet side of balance: not a fabulous pils, but not a bad one either.

Pours a dark golden yellow. Nice hoppiness, and nice malt aftertaste. Great for the price at TJs. A great crisp fall beer.

for a pilsener, that is less than $1 at trader joes, this is a winner. if you’re into pilsener’s this beer should be a blast. it’s not something i would drink regularly, but for sitting on a boat or at a beach, not bad.

Rusty (1536) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - OCT 17, 2008
Bottle from Trader Joe’s. Pours a light gold with a small white head. Aroma of corn and malt. Flavor is grain, malt corn. Very light and flavorless and a tad off of balance towards the corn side. Forgettable.

mjg74 (2491) - La Mesa, California, USA - OCT 16, 2008
Bottle from Trader Joe’s. Medium golden in color. Somewhat sour grainy aroma. Grainy flavors. A little bit of maltiness with a hint of bitterness. Finish is a little sour. Drinkable, but not great.
