1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Bottled. Poured clear, bright golden with a short-lived cap of white head and steady rising carbonation. The aroma picked up honey sweetness with a zesty, sharper accent to it.. didn’t enjoy the nose. The flavor had pale and lighter caramel sweetness with the same sharp highlights that didn’t work any better than my first impressions.. grassy and hay-like in character.. finished rough and unpleasant. Light-bodied and rather metallic on the palate.. nothing worked for this one.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Good lawnmower beer. Thanks to JK for sharing this. Clear golden pour with a white head. Corn and some light floral hops on the nose. The flavor is more of the grainy corn taste with a slight increase in the hop profile.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
12oz Bottle – Trader Joes – Tacoma, WA – Light flavor, aroma and overall for this beer. Just a pilsner with very little for flavor. This will do for the super hot days after mowing the grass. But I would only give to friends who are not beer geeks.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Sampled at MN Gathering II and shared by JK. Pours a clear light golden pale brew with a thin white head that quickly dissipates to a thin white ring. Aroma of golden grain malt, light corn flake cereal, and a hint of citrus zest. Taste is light bodied, plenty of carbonation with flavors of golden grain malt, corn grits, and some citrus zest. Finish is semi-sweet, a tad watery compared to the Simpler Times Lager. It’s okay for a light pils for the hot summers.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
12 oz bottle from Trader Joe’s, Bakersfield. Nose of grassy hops and light grainy (corn) sweetness along with a very light diacetyl note.Lightly hazy gold with a medium white head. Flavor is very light hop bitterness, corn, and some light diacetyl. Without the diacetyl it would be an OK pilsener.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
12 oz. bottle courtesy of Tmoney99. Pours a clear golden color with a smaller white head. The aroma is weak bready malt with some grassy and earthy hops. The flavor is a general pilsner with bready biscuity malt and mildly bittering hops. Eh...

3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle. I didn’t expect much from this beer. But I was surprised. It was not as corny as I had expected. Decent citrus aromas and flavors. Not too shabby

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Not much in the way of foam or lacing. light yellow pour with a touch of gold. Sharp bite to it due to the carbonation. Mostly malt flavors but a bit of it is really a corn background. Inexpensive, but not something to go looking for.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: SEP 5, 2009 Can from Brookline Trader Joe’s. Tastes like Busch, but the can makes it worth every penny. The can looks like a generic beer found in a movie. It’s fantastic.

2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle from Trader Joe’s in Roseville. Brassy gold color with a frothy white head. Fairly decent aroma - but mostly grain. A bit corny as the glass approaches the lips. Near medium body with frothy carbonation. Not very much hop. Not very much point.
