Golden and light. Tastes like a good Budweiser product. Thin white head (obviously no lacing). Very low bitterness. This is a perfect float trip or campfire beer.

As far as cheap beer goes, you could do a lot worse than Simpler Times Pilsner. The malt isn’t too skunky and the hops aren’t too weak. Still, if this beer is supposed to make me nostalgic for "simpler times," I’m unmoved. I’ll stick to the present. Some things shouldn’t be simple. I like my beer to have complexity.

Slightly sweet malty smell, taste is the same...sweet malt, no hops, no depth of anything but malt... Doesn’t really taste like a pilsner, bland and boring...slightly medicinal taste in there too

Nothing special here. This is not a German Pilsener. I don’t trust Minhas Craft Brewery with any of their beers.

Old rating. Yup, macro lager from Trader Joes…exactly what you expect. Something like 50 cents a beer. Corny, stale, some weird off funk. Tasted it with lager…almost exactly the same.

The price is about right for this beer. Drinkable. If you just want a cheap beer buzz, this’ll work for you. I get a kick out of some of the snooty highbrow reviews for this one. Make it cold, and suck it down. Burp and smile. It’s just cheap beer! Hand me another...

355ml can. Slightly hazed gold pour, fizzy fairly quickly dissipating white head. Aroma is relatively low, some floral notes and spice. Flavor is odd, phenolic, watery, not a distinct malt character, maybe saaz hops but that might be a stretch. Not a great pils.

Can picked up from trader joe’s. Pours golden, minimal head. Sweet nothing, chalk. Medium body. Metallic finish.

12oz can - Is there anything more simpler, than enjoying a beer while hanging around a fire with friends and family? That was the case here with this beer, and I didn’t even bother to pour it into a glass. Just wanted to enjoy it from the can, and it was decent. Price not coming into play here, it was a clean, slightly grassy beer with minimal offensiveness at cold temps. I’m sure if it warmed up it would be pretty awful. I enjoyed this one just a bit more than the lager. Good beer to hand out to those that just want "..a cold one".

Save your time and money. The beer is horrible. It’s cheap for a reason. No quality. ALL THE BEER is watery dish-water. Sure, one can buy this from Trader Joe’s for a low price, but really, what you get is nothing on par to quality. I’d rather put the extra money towards a pint or six pack of something more proven and worthwhile. This beer is made cheap for a reason and its to sell out. The owners, both non brew-masters by the way, just some trust fund rich kids, are slinging this dishwater to steal your money. I mean go on the website, it shows the guy walking out of his Escalade SUV and the interviews with him and the sister "co-owner" show the trust fund babies they are...both siblings are narcissistic and ridiculous. I would give this a zero rating if I could. i am really not "trolling" here. Now if you excuse me, i need to puke this beer up.
