Bottle from Trader Joe’s in Roseville. Brassy gold color with a frothy white head. Fairly decent aroma - but mostly grain. A bit corny as the glass approaches the lips. Near medium body with frothy carbonation. Not very much hop. Not very much point.

A: The pour is a light straw color with a short lived white head that initially towers in the glass. S: The nose is skunky, buttery, and sweet. Lots of grain and adjunct notes, along with plenty of diacetyl. T: The amount of butter in this beer is shocking, and definitely not enjoyable. A light sulfur note and slightly sweet with grain providing most of the other "flavor". M: The body is light and the beer is very highly carbonated. D: This is one of those beers that should be consumed as cold and as quickly as possible. I honestly cannot recommend this beer to anyone.

Bottle from Trader Joe’s - Cincinnati. Poured clear amber color with an average to large frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate grass hop and malt aroma. Medium body with soft carbonation. Light to medium sweet flavor with a light to medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Cheap and better of the two Simpler Times.

Can. Awful. Skunky and just plain nasty. Not really any redeeming qualities.

Bottle. Pours a deep golden colour with a thick white head. Aroma is lightly malty. Simple sweet pilsner malt. Fairly grassy with a lingering sweetness. Meh... it’s pretty plain really. Lingering sweetness.

12 ounce bottle from Trader Joe’s Glen Allen, VA. Pours a clear amber with a large head. Poor retention and decent lacing. Aroma of grain, sugary notes and grassy hops. Taste is syrupy fruit notes, grain and grassy hops. Medium bodied.

Bottled. Poured clear, bright golden with a short-lived cap of white head and steady rising carbonation. The aroma picked up honey sweetness with a zesty, sharper accent to it.. didn’t enjoy the nose. The flavor had pale and lighter caramel sweetness with the same sharp highlights that didn’t work any better than my first impressions.. grassy and hay-like in character.. finished rough and unpleasant. Light-bodied and rather metallic on the palate.. nothing worked for this one.

Bottle. Golden beer with an off-white ehad. Hay and light honey/light malt aroma. Malt flavor with light honey/caramel and some grassiness. Medium bodied and easy drinking. Malt and grassiness lingers with a light sweetness.

12oz can, $0.59 from my local Trader Joe’s. Clear golden color. Thin white head, leaves decent bits of lace. Bready, spicy, kind of peppery aroma, with some musty, basement type aroma in the finish. Lighter body. Smooth, kind of crisp carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Moderate bitter taste, light hint of tart. Better than expected.
