Fiercely hopped and hopped again, Thumper IPA keeps on going and going. Does it tantalize your tongue?

Pretty malty aroma. I think this is pretty old. Orange clear pour. Not delicious. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz bought at Trader Joes in Salem OR aka Boatswain American IPA. $1.99 Looks OK deep burnt orange with a fluffy, rocky off white head. Fruity ,caramel, toffee aromas..not much hop. Taste is pretty malty..its pleasant enough for a second then some raw alcohol which i would expect with a 10% Ultra Malt Likka but not an IPA. Thin palate Not good a horrible IPA and only a reasonable Malt Liquor..

Pours light tan with a bit of tan head. Canít quite smells the hops that I was expecting to. A bit of musty tangerine as well. Taste is pretty sweet and not too bitter. Overall tastes more akin to an amber ale than an American IPA. Its not a miserable beer but I think they got confused with what they wanted to brew.

22oz bottle, labeled "Boatswain American IPA", just $2 from my local Trader Joeís. Shared with friends over a game of Catan. Mostly clear orange-red color. Thin off-white head, decent retention. Loose lace. Medium body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. More dry in the finish. Caramel malts, light fruity hop, kind of soapy. Sweet taste, light bitter. Nothing great about this, but nothing really offensive.

Pour from a 22oz bomber. Deep orange brew with small head but very active carbonation. Aroma of caramel, brown sugar, over rip fruit. Taste is sweet from start to finish. Caramel malt at the start transitioning to a fruity / brown sugar finish. HInts of ethanol at the end. Mildly hopped despite the 70 ibuís. This is more like a sweet amber ale than an IPA. Overall, not all that pleasant no matter what. THe name and label are nice, though.

supposed to be an "American" IPA but this is very English. if you like Amber Ales, this is the IPA for you.

Poured from a bomber from Binny's. stale apricot aroma. Dark orange appearance. Dank citrus fruity and Carmel taste. Unpleasant though. Not sure what's up with this beer. Fresh too

Tasting. Hazy amber, white head. Taste and aroma are malt with a little citrus. Difficult to call this an IPA.

Bottle at Sanderís place, NYC. Pours clear orange with a fine, foamy head. Alcohol, pine and orange on the nose. Tastes sugary and metallic, some ripe orange. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light resinous finish, boozy fruits, metal. Really rough beer.
