Bottle shared with brother, thanks for the share. Aroma: Smokey bacon, fig, light roasted malt, light chocolate. App: pitch black, small brown, nice lacing. Taste and palate: full body, amazingly creamy mouthfeel, light sweetness, light bitter finish. Some fruits in mouth as well Overall: amazing. The mouthfeel is incredible. Can’t get enough of it. Really really good. I will sure try to get my hands on another bottle.

Pours with no carbonation. Thick, earthy aroma with lots of booze. Thick mouthfeel that coats your tongue. A nice sting of booze hits the roof of your mouth and the back of your throat. Smooth with a mild earthy taste. Very well done. Bottle.

Bottle from Abv. Pours a jet black color with a small beige head. A big smoky roast nose, dark fruit. A big sweet ashy flavor, licorice, smoke, burnt caramel. Solid big Scandinavian stout made in the USA. Sugary toffee.

Aroma is more smoked than anything with some malt and strength mixed in. This is a stellar beer. A strong smokiness that overpowers the sweetness just barely but enough. Really little to nothing to complain about here, other than that 8-12 ounces is probably all one can do. Top notch.

Big punch of coffee and smoke astringency. Flavor settles down in the finish, but the bitterness is distracting.

22oz bomber shared by Joe at Dave’s. Pours black with a small foamy tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, and some earth. Taste of black malts, sour chocolate, earth, caramel, sweet dark fruit, and dry wood in the finish.

22 ounce bottle into snifter, bottled on 3/24/2016. Pours dense pitch black color with a 1-2 finger dense dark brown head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, fudge, toffee, caramel, molasses, toasted dark bread, raisin, plum, fig, date, licorice, smoke, wood, leather, tobacco, light char, and roast/smokey earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, fruity yeast, and moderate earthy hop notes; with great strength. Taste of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, fudge, toffee, caramel, molasses, toasted dark bread, raisin, plum, fig, date, licorice, smoke, wood, leather, tobacco, light char, and roast/smokey earthiness. Moderate roast/char and herbal/spicy hop bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, fudge, toffee, caramel, molasses, toasted dark bread, dark fruit, licorice, smoke, wood, leather, char, and roast/smokey earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, fruity yeast, and moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and no astringent hop/roast flavors after the finish. Light dryness from roast/hop bitterness, increasing though the glass. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full bodied; with a very smooth, creamy/slick, and moderately sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is fairly well hidden with a light warmth lingering after the finish; with no booziness. Overall this is an outstanding imperial stout. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, fruity yeast, and moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to sip on for the big ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.
