3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottled share by the OMH gang. Pours out in a cloudy pale amber colour with a rich creamy white foam. Fruity aroma of yeast, orange-peels, nectarines and mild blood-grape. Medium-bodied with notes of yellow fruits, citric fruits and orange-blossom. Dryish yeasty finish of spices, orange-peels and cedar-wood. Nice one!

Draft @ Bulldog Pub, Ginza: Hazy blonde/orange. The head is nice, plenty of lacing. Nose of bright grape and yeast esters, some pleasant belgian notes. Plenty of aromatic and pilsner malt. Very nice belgian style, seems like its shooting lower than its aim though. Trying to be a belgian brown but more like a belgian blonde.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JAN 7, 2009 Bottle from Yamaoka.
A seasonal. Dark amber with a very low head (for something called Belgian!). Amber malt aroma, with dry hops, earth, and a definite Belgian or Biere de garde yeast aroma. Slightly fruity, grassy, a touch of sweet dark fruit. Rather sweet, fruity, flavor, cherries, earth, dryish hops. Similar to a Belgian or French amber. Decent balance and complexity, very well balanced actually. Not a killer flavor, but very nice. Dry, hoppy finish; very earthy.

[355ml bottle, Tanakaya, Meijiro, Tokyo] Minoh Seasonal Ale on the label. Always interesting to sample a brewery from one country attempting the style of another this Belgian style ale from Minoh pours very hazy rich dark orange colour. Aromas of a typical wheat beer; spice, citrus fruit, a tiny hint of coriander. Light, fruity and refreshing on the palate. Really quite drinkable. Heavily bottle conditioned so yeast is a predominant flavour, but I had to transport it halfway round the world
