3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark purple body with a light purple head. Aroma and flavors mostly dominated by sugarless grape juice, feels a bit like a sparkling red wine, but grape slowly gets overwhelming and tiring for the palate. Not a great balance but an original take on a fruity grape brew.

Bottle to tulip
Cherry and raspberry syrup or kool aid. Transparent bright red with a thin ringed white head. The taste is sour cherry with a little hops. Quite strange, barely drinkable.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft - caramel, strawberries and slightly vinous. Deep amber with a thin white head. A bit sweet berries but decent although a bit one sided. Sour a bit and you have a winner.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tried on draught at Beer Belly Higobashi in 2011. Was advised it was "a nice choice for the ladies" ;-) It was rather nice, quite fruity and easy drinking. Offers something different to a lot of American-style / German-style beers from many Japanese breweries. Would definitely have it again, though note that other reviews on here indicate you should check the bottling/best before date carefully if trying from a bottle.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Small blue colored glass bottle pours a pinkish golden color with a light pinkish head that leaves no lacing as it settles. Aroma is wine grapes with some grainy malts. Taste is mild grainy malt sweetness with a fruity winelike grape sweetness and finishes dry on the palate. Light to medium body with mild carbonation. A very unique brew which has more wine character to it than beer, but is very interesting nonetheless.

1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
pours grape purple, minimal carbonation, zero lacing, minimal head. Tastes of sour cabernet grape, light red wine vinegar, tannic finish, and a mild malty backdrop. Has the intense sourness of a lambic but not much body to hold it together. The fruity grapeness comes through nicely, however the sourness isnít balanced with the body and depth. This bottle is almost 2 years past the recommended drinking date though.

0.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
Small blue bottle. Thank god itís small. Pours a hazy ruby-tinted light amber with nearly no head. TylerDurden said "Youíre on your own with that shit". Wise words. Aroma is a little assy ("like a brown bean fart"), with that vague old wine aroma, like a glass of wine that was left out overnight after a party. Really really not good. Thankfully the sip isnít as aweful as the aroma. Donít get me wrong, itís still terrible, but itís not like having to choke down bean-fart-fizzy water. Itís more like having to choke down equal parts shitty old cheap sweet wine and stinky shitty cheap beer. Like a carbonated piss shandy. I got through about a third, then realized that Iím not on Fear Factor and dumped the rest to move onto better things.

1.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
Imagine the worst Framboise youíve ever had. Worse than that.... Still worse... Keep going... almost there... no, still worse than that even.... thatís it! Yeah, that bad. Pours murky red/purple/brown, no head or lacing. Nose is funky, obvious lacto presence, plus vinegar, raspberry, cardboard, mold. Flavor is like Rodenbach mixed with equal parts horse piss. Dreadful.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Smells of lush fruits...perhaps grape, pineapple, and apricot nectar, all over-ripe I might add. Also has traces of salted butter, wet leather and sour apple. A distinct candy red colour but very transluscent....beautiful! Bubbly low head. Candied mouth entry but rolls into tart grape and slightly off-balance malt. The tartness occupies every inch of the palate but is by no means overbearing. The fruit basket seems to disapear from its vast nose-selection, with only the cabernet fed grape still present. Finish is a touch short and a bit dry and lack-luster.
