COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Used to be called "Valentine Beer" as well, though they seemed to have dropped that appellation. Roasted malt and sweetness of the malt flavor and give you a good taste imperial stout. Hop bitterness is prudent, using it for chocolate malt, coffee and chocolate-scented, perfect Valentine adult black ale. 7% alcohol taste and deliberate wanted the feeling comes through its rich flavor. Valentine, the original thoughts also fashioned beer labels.

Bottle. Good lord. What an absolutely wonderful beer. Fully deserves the accolades in my opinion. Sloe-black body, dark tan head. Rich aromas of damp malt, dark chocolate, and treacle. Luscious without being over-sticky. Flavours of the above, with soy sauce, prunes, and noticeable hop backbone. Quality from start to finish.

Taster at the White Horse, Parsons Green, 25th May 2011. Deep black with a hint of head. Lots of roasted malt notes. Lighter than most imperial stouts and it benefits from that. Really good stuff.

On tap @ Beer Belly Edibori in Osaka, Japan. Aroma brings espresso, mocha, toffee, and Guinness like black malts. Appears a deep black with a thick half finger tan foam. Taste follows nose with strong espresso, mocha, thick black malt and Guinness overtones. Overall, My first Japanese Imperial Stout and it’s pretty damn good. Tastes like a Guinness on steroids. Very good stuff. A+ rating.

330ml bottle from drinkmonger. Black pour, tan head. Coffee, chocolate, both milk and bitter, if that makes sense. Long bitter finish. Great beer.

Not a great deal of nose, a touch of chocolate and that's it. A really nice chocolate and coffee taste which starts sweet then the hops come in at the end with a cracking bitter finish ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

600 yen half-pint on tap at the Tenma Beer Belly. A coffee/chocolate nose with a creamy smooth coffee flavor. Very easy to drink, sweet stout goodness. Creamy coffee taste, good stuff.

Bottle from National Brewery Centre, Burton. Black beer with small mocha head and some lacing. Aroma of chocolate and roast coffee. Taste is roasted coffee and bitter dark chocolate. There is some hops mixed in there too. Warm aftertaste. Decent.

Deep brown with a good sized chocolate head. Aroma is cocoa powder, grilled mushrooms, dates, liquorice, hint of butter. Creamy mouthfeel, medium-full body, roasty on the palate with a hint of booze on the finish. Taste is molasses, soy sauce, roasted malts, liquorice, hint of dark chocolate and wood. Not bad
