Bottle pour in Tokyo. Black with a small beige head. Big coffee aroma with some chocolate and roasted malts. Flavor is less than the aroma with a slight medicinal quality. Dry. Dry finish. Thin mouthfeel. Average carbonation.

Draught at Beer Belly. Black with small tan head. Aroma has swwet notes with some coffee and burnt malts. Light body, great burnt flavours, not as sweet as the aroma. Very nice.

PotjeBier (1599) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - NOV 1, 2013
On tap @ Craft Hands, Shibuya, Tokyo, with TimE. Black color. Beige head. Aroma’s: heavy roast, ground coffee, dark chocolate. Flavor is moccha-ish, lightly sweet, roasted. Body is on the thin side. Finishes roasty and just lightly bitter. Flavor doesn’t live up to the aroma, otherwise this would have been great.

tania_nexust (27) - Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 24, 2013
On draught in Beer Belly Higobashi in 2011. A huge Espresso-like nose - bags of fresh ground coffee aroma, and a dry, roasted bitter full flavour. Have had this in bottle since (import to England) and it wasn’t quite as full-on. Was labelled on the beer board as Stout, but I see Minoh occasionally produce a Coffee Stout, so I’m wondering if it was actually a coffee version I was served. We went back for more the next night though so it was pretty good.

Opaque dark brown beer, little pale tan head. Light palate, a little dry. Medium dark malt, touch of coffee. Mild minerals. Dry finish. Pretty standard stuff but all right.

Umeboshi aroma. Milk chocolate, watery finish. Pretty bland stout, with a cheap bitter coffee aftertaste.

Westkyoto77 (504) - Kyoto, JAPAN - APR 18, 2013
Draught at Bakujun. Dark, creamy and with decent roasted malt nose. Low carbonation. Smooth, but a little too light in the mouth. A solid drop, but not a patch on their imperial stout.

KansaiBeerLvrs (1661) - Kyoto, JAPAN - APR 11, 2013
On tap at Temma Beer Belly. It pours a classic inky black with a tan head. Aroma of caramel, chocolate with a hint of coffee. The flavor is slightly roasted or smokey sweet dark malts with a bit of a bitter coffee finish. Light body for the style but easy to drink.

gnoff (7687) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - APR 9, 2013
33 cl bottle thanks to Ingo! Sampled on April 8, 2013. Marked (BB?) 13.01.30, purchased late December 2012.
Dark reddish brown color, big brown head. Acidic, roasted scent, coffee as well, way too acidic. Acidic, roasted, thin taste, not pleasant. Thin mouthfeel, low bitterness.
Did not finish my pour.
