Amber w touch of haze . Has a lot of caramel malts, rich grapefruit hop, lots of alcohol. Old school, quite strong, just infinitely chewy.

Had to login and actually rate this place cuz it’s being misrepresented by great people with great intentions that don’t know that this place is an AMERICAN craft beer place modified to the Japanese tastes. In a word, this place is honest. A few more words that come to mind are inventive, adventurous, fearless. Really amazingly great place from the perspective of a guy who has enjoyed every American craft brewery currently enjoyed as the so-called ’Best’.

Bottle from kansai-thanks! Copper orange, minimal head. Nose is almost like a light barleywine, lots of caramel and toffee malts, some orange citrus. Taste follows, malt forward, lightly sweet, with some citrus pith bitterness. Smooth for the ABV and clean.

This is proper beer. Bottle from a family mart - type of place. Nice and copper, with a rather unfulfilling head, lovely aroma of honey, syrup, dried stone fruits and the fruity hops. Flavour goes along the same way. It feels like a rather old double IPA, very mellow and syrupy. Thick on the palate, this is my choice from now on for this selection near my hotel.

Have had this a few times from bottle and draft. Pours out an amber copper topped with a sand head. Nose is light fruit some pine hops and a nice caramel malty sweetness. Taste is more of the fruity citrus hops and a well balanced malt bill.

Poured into a plastic cup on the Shinkansen showing dark caramel brown with almost no filtration or head, sparse white foam on rims. The nose shows a sweet tea like nose with light hints of malt and not much else. The palate is light bodied and moderately carbonated. Flavors of sweet earl grey and malt. Barely any bitterness. Once again another British style IIPA that probably didn’t need to be made.

Cloudy copper appearance. Pleasant bitterness. Plenty of malt taste. Does not have a strong taste of alcohol despite being 9%. A pleasant beer to drink. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cloudy copper. Deep malts up front, nice hop bite finishes more like a 7% than a 9. Great balance here.

Nocturne (1731) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - APR 19, 2015
Tap at Tadg’s, Kyoto. Hazy amber with a decent off-white head. Aroma has some nice floral tones. Taste is equal parts caramel maltiness and resinous tangerine-fruity hops. Softer and fruitier than many DIPAs. Not an aggressive bitter assault. Relaxed and drinkable though.
