3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle from Eithcubes: Orange/blonde pour with a moderate white head. Nose is full of floral and grassey hops, just a subtle maltiness. The floral hops were a bit overwhelming in the taste without enough malty/citrus presence to balance it all out. Felt like a dandilion in the mouth. For a brew that uses four hops and three malts it tasted a bit one dimensional.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Semi-cloudy amber-orange body with a nice clinging off-white head. The aroma is a bit surprising. Itís more sweet than I would have expected. Toffee, butterscotch, and of course pine and grapefruit. Mouthfeel is medium and creamy. The flavor, like the aroma, is more sweet than bitter. Toffee, malt, and butterscotch up front fades into a nice pin and grapefruit bite. I suppose this beer is not a classic IPA, but it is very enjoyable.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: OCT 27, 2011 When you see the name íhop head aleí, you expect the hops to be up front and prominent throughout. Thatís not the case here. Pours murky brown with minimal white head. Aroma is mostly sweet caramel malt with faint hints of hops. Flavor is very malty with way too much residual sweetness. This is not a well balanced beer at all. The strong caramel, toffee, and butterscotch flavors destroy any chance of the hop flavors to come through. Itís supposedly an IPA but is really more of a malt-bomb. This is just another great example of why you shouldnít drink anything from MIshawaka Brewing.

2.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
12oz bottle poured into a New Belgium tulip... Pours an ugly murky dark gold. The is white, rises about two fingers and has great retention and lacing... The aroma is super sweet, malts are way off and off the chart strong. Musky with notes cardboard... The taste is also off malt flavors, musky hops, toffee, chemical finish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Single bottle purchased at Beverage Depot in Ft Wayne. Amber color. Big frothy head with excellent lacing. Aroma is mild for an IPA . Different then your average IPA. Less bitterness and more sweetness. Some earthiness, but not the intense woodsy feel you get from many IPAís. Solid beer, but hard to compare against other IPAís.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: OCT 18, 2010 Sample at the Beer íN Rock Band tasting on 08/27/2010: Pours a clear orange-yellow color with a medium thin frothy off-white head that diminishes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Citrusy hops aroma plus some malt notes. Medium body with flavors of hops and grapefruit, along with a touch of sweet malt. The finish is hoppy and leaves a short citrus aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 ounce bottle out of a six pack that I brought to my sister and brother-in-laws. I will be honest here... the only reason that I picked up six of these is because of the drunk hop picture on the front of the packaging... now on to the rating. Poured a light amber color with a one finger width white frothy head. The aroma consists of bitter hops and some light citrus... pretty boring for an IPA. The taste consisted of bitter hops and some malt. Overall this is a very drinkable brew but absolutely nothing special.

Thanks to phaleslu for this one as an extra. Pours yellow-orange with a white head. Nose is a lot of sweet malt and a bit of light citrus hops. Flavor is similar with hints of butterscotch and lingering sweetness. Medium bodied and ok.
