22oz - Mild aroma of roasted dark malts, molasses, chocolate, lacto and a touch of coffee. Pours black with a small head and good lacing. Flavor matches aroma with a sour milk flavor that combines with the roasted malts to make a somewhat confusing taste. Palate is creamy and tart. I didn’t pour it down the drain, but it isn’t something I would drink again.

Jun 27, 2008 This bottled brew from Indianapolis, IN poured a very small sized head of frothy brown colored mostly lasting bubbles that left behind a strongly carbonated body of fine bubbles that was opaque except around the edges. The aroma was simple with only mild brown malty notes. The mouth feel was mildly tingly thin and mildly vinous. The flavor was also thin and weak with an acidic note I disliked.

May 2, 2008 Bottle and label says 9.3% ABV. Very small smooth tan head that mostly lasted, very little lacing and carbonation, and a dark brown hue. Nose was that of toffee, malt, molasses, and some hops. Flavor was malt, toffee, lightly roasty, and some molasses. Mouthfeel was mostly smooth and lightly tingly. Body was medium. Quaffable, but not super impressed with their version of this style.

Jan 7, 2008 Bottle says 9.2%. I definitely question that, it tastes like it is 6% tops. Pours dark brown, thin off white head and one ring of lace around the top of the glass. Prune, & fudge on the nose. Thin mouth-feel a rather bland/ thin RIS. Hints of coffee and chocolate.

Mar 19, 2006 Muddy dark brown. Chocolatey, fudgey aroma. Fruity-tart body with roast and light smoke. A little bit of burnt fruit in there as well. Light bodied and easy-going for the style.
