COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A moderately dark rye ale, brewed with traditional Bavarian Hefeweizen yeast to give a roasty and fruity finish. A dunkelweizen made with rye instead of wheat. Ph’nglui mglw’nafh Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagn!

Bottled bomber pours light caramel darkness with nice head. Initial taste i got was definitely a rye mixed lightly with the dunkelweizen. Not a bad beer in was expecting more body but was a nice light beer.

Bottle with Carla. Pours a foggy ruby/brown with off-white foam. Smells malty, slightly sweet with a hint of hop bitterness. Tastes malty, but pretty thin, lightly sweet with hints of rye and just a little bit of bittering hops.

So nice. A Dunkel-Rye-zen! Rye is tricky and Weizen is tricky and somehow CPB pulled it off. Quite delicious. The aroma and mouth-feel are perfect. $1 refundable flip top bottle opens with a beautiful ’pop’. Aroma and subtle flavor of banana and spice. Bottle says 6.7% ALC and Vegan.
