3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught @ GABS 2015 MelLooks good - burnished copper, firm beige head.
Nice biscuity toffee toasted nutty malts, citrusy tropical fruit hops.
Full creamy body, bit chewy.
Good malt body, well balanced hop & bitterness.
Nicely done, good measure of malt vs hops.

On tap at Tomahawk Bar, Brisvegas. A malty red ale similar to a Vienna Lager. An easy-drinking, enjoyable drop.

On tap at Tomahawk Bar 070215. A little underdone for a red ale but not bad in the overall scheme of things. Malty all the way through to the finish.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Nice rich caramel dark red tones. Aroma is subtle caramel malts, earthy vegetable thing also. Taste is caramel sweetness then hop bitterness. Dry bitter finish. Bit dull to be honest.

A deep red amber ale topped off with an off white head. Has a citrusy aroma with low bitterness making it smooth and easy to drink. Very impressive.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap @ Kings Head Hotel Adelaide. A decent Red Ale with toasty malts and a noticeable (largely citrus) hop presence plus an easy drinking sessionability. Pours dark red/brown with a decent sized off white head providing a satisfactory lace. Light-medium body with softish carbonation. No complaints.

hmm not sure about the genuineness of the ratings below... This is a competently put together amber ale with slightly more toasty maltiness than toffee - light body, fruity citric hop flavour, apologetic bitterness - clean but empty finish. pretty boring beer, not quenching enough to be a session ale, not rich enough to be satisfying as a winter warmer type.
