Dusseldorf-Style Altbier. Our Amber ale is a wonderful compromise between the light and refreshing, and dark and full-flavored beers available today. Our Amber is clean, and like our Blonde ale, exhibits a crisp, lager-like character. The firm bitterness is balanced by the sweet, caramel and nutty malt character provided by the generous use of Munich, Vienna, and Pilsner malts. 43 IBU

A decent amber

Bottle, shared with Smitty and Rockley. Dark copper amber with a thick frothy head. Aroma is low key and dull; just brothy cereals really. The palate amounts to the same, with plain lacklustre malts that fail to excite in any way. Dull dull dull.

650ml bottle pours amber in color with a finger and a half of white head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is grassy and grainy with some caramel and herbs. Taste is a caramel and grainy malt sweetness with a herbal grassy bitterness. Light to medium body with adequate carbonation. Certainly, an interesting brew that is worth trying at least once.

From a bottle. Pours hazy reddish brown. Tastes like malt and citrus, nutty, sweet like bubblegum. Medium body and carbonation. Smells like malt and molasses cookie.

335mL bottle. Pours clear light amber with a light toffee aroma. It does have a light crisp flavour with light bitterness and creamy like nutty flavour. A nice beer but not thing.

This was pretty tasty. On the hoppy side up front. Pretty orange color. The flavor in the body is a bit on the sweet side but it’s pretty tasty.

Bottle. Amber with a beige head. Aroma of bread crusts and nuts. Light bodied, getting towards watery. Mild caramel sweetness, spicy bitterness. Really rather empty before that finish, but pleasant and refreshing.
