Dusseldorf-Style Altbier. Our Amber ale is a wonderful compromise between the light and refreshing, and dark and full-flavored beers available today. Our Amber is clean, and like our Blonde ale, exhibits a crisp, lager-like character. The firm bitterness is balanced by the sweet, caramel and nutty malt character provided by the generous use of Munich, Vienna, and Pilsner malts. 43 IBU

Draught Good off-white head over hazy amber-gold beer. Malt, lightly coloured malts, green hops (and not EU ones). Sulphur-y. Faint bitterish-toasted flavour. Hops are in evidence, but not really in balance with the main malt flavour. Warming up, sulphur gone, in exchange for nice nutbread flavour. Aftertaste is surprisingly dry-bitterish, some hopoils that are not bad. BIt sticky. Deserving, but still... I think somebody ought to catch the trolley to Düsseldorf, instead of USA-written cookbooks.

Aroma: fresh crisp clean hop character, some caramel slight nutty notes. Meadow floral hop side.7+
Appearance: proper golden amber look with bright midsized laced cap. Looked quiet appealing.
Body , Flavour , Palate and Final Notes: medium bodied. Quiet aggressive hop front for Alt bier . Zesty, leafy with softening malty body. Proper body , light on nutty alt hints. Not 100% on style but it’s getting there with decent malt work. Good textures and carbonation.

This Altbier pours red with a small white head that dissipated quickly. It has a slightly bright aroma. On the front end, it has a direct sharp taste of caramel that disappears as quickly as the head. A lingering alcohol tone remains. It’s not at all bad, but not memorable.

Pours a clear reddish amber. Aroma is bready. Taste is slightly Sweet at the start followed by a crisp bitterness that rises from underneath an lingers overtaking any lingering malt balance. The result is a crisp dry finish. Nice pallet but a little bitter.

Bottle. Pours copper with a medium, off-white head. Very little aroma, just a hint of malts. Toasted malt flavor with hints of caramel and bread. A hint of grassy/earthy hops throughout. Pretty thin and one dimensional.
