3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bb:N/A, among idiosynkrasie’s bounteous bottlebox. Smells of that typical high-octane crystal malts-go-sweet-orange-jam of many US-DIPAs, quince marmelade and its fruity damp resins. About the same in taste, mostly sweet preserved oranges or orange-shaped candy, dryish quince jam and beetroot sugar with a good coating of resinous bitterness. Drinks astoundly easy, without real abv heat or burn, while not really owning up to its 10% potential.

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 13/20
Strong marigold, pencil shaving, and pine needle nose. Cloudy rust, thin yellow head. Intense marigold and pencil shavings, overripe orange underneath and toward the end. Full body, moderate carbonation, boozy. Hop forward and strong, not as malty or balanced as I hoped.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. bottle at home. Pours a hazy orange amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have big citrus , caramel, brown sugar, some resin, a bit boozy and the flavors don’t play all that well together, just ok.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
355 ml bottle.
Pours dark amber color with a small head. Sweetish apricot and orange on the nose, resinous hops, pine, mild caramel notes, faint bread and subtle alcohol. Bitter malts and sweet ripe fruits on the flavor, lots of resinous hops, mild berry-like residue on the background. Full-bodied, kind of aggressive and still quite balanced. Very good.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draught. Hazy darker brown, small off-white head. Ripe sweet garden fruits, brown syrup and wild strawberry sweetness in aroma, light vinous notes too. Quite soft mouthfeel. Sweet boozy malty notes, hints of slightly burnt fudge and dried dark fruityness in taste. Easy on the bitters here. Not much of the quite high abv either is detectable and thus the drinkability is scaringly easy here, and as it isn’t too cloying either it gets a quite good score.
