12 oz bottle from Country Club Liqours. Clear amber with a slight green tinge. Head is greenish beige that lasts and laces heavily. Nose is caramel, bubblegum, and citrus. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter with a light alcohol warmth.

If this was based on appearance this beer gets a perfect score. Alas there are more things to beer than a pretty face. The aroma is mostly caramel, nice but bland. The flavor has the caramel and a good balance of hops. A hint of wood comes through. The finish is a bit thin but I'm liking the after taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sanguine, opaque brew, smallish head. Great label. Tannic, woody malt aroma. Tastes like it smells -- an assertive red ale -- woody, hoppy, a little rye. Mouthy and boozy at the end. Warming. Proof Bottle Shop.

12oz bottle pours with a clear deep ruby red body that supports an off white head of foam. The aroma has some malts, roasted malts, slivers of cherry and then prune like dark fruity esters as well as a mix of resiny somewhat pine hops and booze. Bigger body. Smooth, lighter carbonation, kind of crisp. Moderate to stronger bitter taste, less sweet. Bit of spicy warming bite in the finish. Solid imperial red ale, though a little boozy. Overall very decent beer.

"This is the type of beer that would have blown me away with it’s deep maltiness offset by bitter hops about 10-12 years ago. The brewing world has surpassed this, so it’s no longer as epic. Not as hoppy as expected, but I dug the malts. Rich toffee and bitter pine, with some spice. Covers the abv pretty well. Slightly nutty on the nose and finish."

Bottle courtesy of Christina and Brendan at Brewsters, thanks! Hazy reddish amber color, fluffy white head. Aroma of pine and caramel. Taste is boozy and sweet caramel. Light body.

deep red color; sweet malt,barleywine-like aroma; sweet malt flavor with piney hops and alcohol notes; like a hoppy barleywine

bottle - Pours amber with a light tan head. It smells of hops with citrus and resin characteristics. The flavor adds caramel malt to fairly high bitterness of the citrus and resinous hops. I quite enjoyed this full bodied brew.
