12 oz bottle from Country Club Liqours. Clear amber with a slight green tinge. Head is greenish beige that lasts and laces heavily. Nose is caramel, bubblegum, and citrus. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly bitter with a light alcohol warmth.

355 ml bottle. Pours an amber colour with a small head. Aroma of red berries, strong oregano notes and some floral notes. Flavour of sweet caramel, red berries, strong oregano notes as with the aroma, alcohol, heavy resiny notes and grassy bitterness. Medium bodied. Alcohol warms. Berry overload. Also, as it’s Christmas, have a Berry Christmas. Bad pun. Leaving.

Idiosynkrasie (4099) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - DEC 17, 2014
355ml bottle. Barely clear, deep amber colour with small, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Piney, hoppy aroma, a fruity and earthy touch of rye. Taste is biting bitter hoppy, warming and slightly biting alcoholic, sweet malty body, an earthy rye touch survives; oily texture, sticky palate. Cocky and flossy instead of delicate and subtle.

Keg at the brewpub, SD, 12/11/14. Lightly hazed amber with reddish hues topped with a moderate off white covering. Nose is caramel malt, candyfloss, fruit rinds, candied orange peel. Taste comprises red grapefruit, sweet licks, pine, caramelised sugar, toasty notes. Medium + body, fine carbonation, hop notes in the close. So so, too hot, sticky and sweet, not a great balance.

Hazy deep red - amber beer, small pale tan head. Palate is smooth with good fine carbonation. Unsweet toffee malts, little cream. Mild skunk start to the hops, morphing smoothly to mild marmalade. Touch of pine. Finishes smooth and light. Fairly intense but well integrated and enjoyable.

A bit of a mess overall. Weird malts, too many hops. No balance. Pours a dark, brown with a sickly looking soapy white head. The nose is bursting with grapefruit and tons of malt notes. Grapefruit and peach flavours in the middle. Caramel and toffee with big nutty notes. The finish is hoppy and bitter with astringent notes and a odd woody malt. Just no balance and an odd offputting flavour throughout. Like a bad barley wine.

Deep dark redwood color. Aroma is booze and caramel sweet Malt. Taste is surprisingly bland. Mostly watery with slight woody booze, Malt, caramel. Just nothing stands out especially for such a big beer. Definitely warming with the booze. Pass.
