3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
A: Very dark brown, borderline black. Half an inch head that's a light brownish/reddish color. No lacing and no long lasting retention.
S: Strong aroma of chocolate and a hint of malt.
T: Chocolate notes aren't as strong at first, then they totally surprise you in the end. Taste some malt and a slight bitterness in the end.
M: Somewhat heavy feeling. Not a long lasting taste, but I can feel the weight of the beer in my mouth.
O: Not a bad stout, but I was hoping for more. Enjoyed the aroma and taste, but not the aftertaste.

12 oz. Opaque with a small spit of creamy bubbles. Aroma is cookie dough, espresso, blackberry, light citrus and herb. Taste is milk chocolate, evergreen resin, dark fruit, espresso, oats, light tart berry with cream, soy sauce and peppery citrus zest. Medium-heavy body is soft and smooth, with a medium carbonation and dryish with well hidden abv.

Pours a pitch black, very creamy looking, thin, dense head, not much lacing of the glass. Aroma is very sweet, with some dark fruits, toasted malts, and heavy coffee.
Fantastic body to this beer. Lots of coffee and roasted flavors, well balanced with some bitterness, but not overly so.
This is a great stout.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This beer pours black with a medium khaki head that diminishes slowly to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of dark chocolate and roasted malt. Full-bodied with a roasty character and flavors of charred malt, chocolate and a bit of licorice. The finish is slightly smoky with a dark chocolate and malt aftertaste. Pretty good all around.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Jet black, dark tan fizzy small head. Abrasive, roasted malt aroma with maybe a hint of vanilla. Stout is very smooth, with some excusable alcohol burn on the finish. Taste is a little brash, simplistic, with some molasses, more alcohol, and some roasted malt... it almost seems a bit salty. It’s a very good, but not great stout.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours from the bomber into my snifter black and oily like the Exxon Valdez; this cappuccino looking head that disappears quickly leaving a slight ring around the side. Nearly no lacing.
Heavy, dark, worty essence: roasted malt, burnt toffee, cereal, and tobacco in the nose and flavor.
Full body, creamy mouthfeel with soft carbonation fading rapidly to nearly flat. Light and pleasant bitterness that lingers long in the aftertaste.
Not an OMG! beer, but imminently drinkable. At 9.8%, not exactly sessionable, unless you’ve trained on Russian vodka like me!
