3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
This deep black beer has a tiny milk chocolate colored head. Fruity almost brandy like notes come through and it has the flavor of chocolate covered cherries.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma: 5/10. Ashes, like faint cigar. Very little nose on this one.
Appearance: 5/5. Pours an inky motor oil black with the darkest brown head I’ve ever seen.
Taste: 7/10. Initial hit of black licorice and ashes, fading into a nice chocolate. Medium hoppy bitter for a stout, a little dryer than expeceted.
Palate: 5/5. Smooth, sweet, cloys just a little like milk, with a long, peasant chocolate finish that lingers with a thread of ashy coffee.
Overall: 14/20. Not bad at all. A nice mixture of ash and chocolate, a nice accompaniment to cookies or sweets.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is a perfect tasting stout, the 9.8% ABV is perfect, not very boozy because of the great blend of chocolates, coffee, malt notes, unlike some stouts where you are overpowered with one specific element. I do taste a fruity note as the bottle says, maybe pum or grape, but it helps with the bitter sweetness. Good stout.
