Wow, I’ve found another favorite. This is a solid stout with bold and balanced flavors. Intense in an excellent way. Up there with my favorites Alesmith Speedway, Port Old Viscosity, Oskar Blues Ten Fiddy, Firehouse One Tun and Green Flash Double Stout.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a viscous inky black with one finger of chestnut brown head. The nose shows burnt sugar and dark coffee and fig. Very roasty with a mild acidity. Full bodied and sharp/acrid flavor. Blackstrap molasses and bitter chocolate.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a pitch black with a thin mocha head. Aroma is heavy chocolate. Taste is a really nice balance of chocolate, roast, and a touch of coffee in the aftertaste. Very thick on the tongue but it is nice. Really impressed, will look out for more of their offerings.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: SEP 28, 2012 Finally a masterpiece of American-made Imperial Stout! Oily black with a walnut head, a nose of chocolates, freshly tanned leather and olives - the green ones. The flavour is beautiful, never breaking apart into nonsense hops, but just smooth, charred and chocolaty. Salty asd an imperial stout should be. There is indeed a bit of plum somehwere hidden, but it’s the roasted malts that set the tone. The finish gives us a bitterness that grows very elegantly. Fabulous stuff. I can have more of that, no worries.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber. Pours dark, thick, and brown a mocha colored head. Roasted chocolate aroma, but not nearly the best smelling imperial stout ever. Smooth and velvety palate, with slight bitterness and alcohol on the finish. Flavors of roasted malts, chocolate, brandy, and walnuts.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz. bottle from Total Wine in Chesapeake, VA. Pours what appears to be black (possibly very dark brown) with a beautiful brown head. Aroma is heavy on the licorice with notes of dark fruit and cocoa. The flavor offers dark fruit initially and fades into dark chocolate and roasted coffee. Maybe just a touch of licorice in the taste but nothing that should turn off those that dislike its taste. Slight alcohol warming. Can’t find anything to complain about with this one. Nice beer!
