The ancient legends that abound the Russian Imperial Stout of yore are filled with tempestuous romance, sinful thievery, and scurvy, too. So highly regarded was this historic recipe, the Russian Kings tried to keep it all to themselves. They failed. Today we bring you our own dastardly dark version, with a rich and roasty aroma, notes of plum and port and a velvety texture so luscious it just might make a grown man weep.

I absolutely loved this. Looks great, has a thick black color with dark tan head. The flavor is chewy and thick, yet it doesn’t make you feel fat. I could drink this all the time. A home run.

Chocolate aroma with a very nice port taste. Label is very true to actual taste. Does not pour much of a head at all. Dry finish. Fantastic brew!

Thick beige head. Strong, thick, chocolate/coffee smoky malts and boozy finish. Just about perfect.

This is the only imperial stout that can come close to competing with the Speedway Stout from Alesmith. Deep rich color with a toasted, nutty, malty finish.

12 oz bottle. Pours deep black, with a long-lasting tan head that leaves good lacing. Nose is dark roast malt and chocolate. Taste is dark roast malt and dark fruit, with a long finish and slightly oily mouthfeel. Hides the alcohol well. A very good Imperial Stout.

True to it’s name, Dark Seas is as dark as they come. The head was a very dark brown and the liquid itself looked like ink. From the initial pop of the top, I smelled that sweet unmistakable aroma of a true stout. The first sip satisfies in a way only a dark beer connoisseur would appreciate. Overall this is a great beer for all you stout drinkers.

Bit of a yeasty aroma. Nice dark appearance with a nice dark caramel head. Very nice taste. Incredibly thick, creamy and smooth.

Room temp, 20degrees, Caramel , alcohol, dark choc and coffee aromas, rich black in glass with a brown minimal head. Bitter on tongue first, smooth taste, minimal carbonation, lovely dry after taste leaving my mouth watering. I've brought four of these they are such a long drink, do not drink at fridge cold. -- rated via 'Find A Beer' for Blackberry 10

Wow, I’ve found another favorite. This is a solid stout with bold and balanced flavors. Intense in an excellent way. Up there with my favorites Alesmith Speedway, Port Old Viscosity, Oskar Blues Ten Fiddy, Firehouse One Tun and Green Flash Double Stout.
