COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pale golden color with soft lemon and melon esters and a bready malt body. Dry hopped with Centennial and experimental hops from the Yakima Valley. If you like a hoppy IPA, but don’t always care for the higher alcohol, try an El Conquistador XPA.

Bottle. Slightly metallic (could be from the bottle or cap) and then very flavorful. Some fruit in the taste. No aftertaste. Really like this one. Prob would be great on tap. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught at the brewpub in San Diego. Clear golden beer with a nice offwhite head. Malty fruity aroma, grassy, pine, some floral notes. Hoppy fruity flavor, grassy, grapes, citrus notes. Really thin bodied.

Hops are primary here, along with a hint of citrus zest. A little watery at first, but then a build to a fuller body. Crisp, dry, not bad but not a standout.

32 oz can - Pours mostly clear gold and has an aroma of cereal malts and some citrus. It has a light body with mild to moderate bitterness and a dry-ish finish. It’s easy to drink and fairly good.

Big fucken can @ home, courtesy of Homer321. Thanks ! Pours a bit hazy golden appearance with a hug off white head. Cracker, pale malty aroma with a lot of lemon and herbal notes from the hops. A bit chewy. Kind of soapy and bitter. Herbal, woody, light lemon flavor. Finishes pretty bitter. Not exactly fresh but not sure id be crazy about this anyways.

Pours a slightly hazy light gold with big soapy head. Aroma is citrucy, slight caramel malt, bread, slight lemon. This beer stepped up a notch once it warmed up a bit. Taste follows the Aroma well with some hops bitterness on the backend, medium to light mouth feel. Very sessionable.

From bottle at the Coney. Nice hoppy aroma, mix of pungent floral and some noble notes. Light pale malt sweetness. Bright golden clear with foamy-rocky white lacing head. Medium body and carbonation. Starts dry with big hop bitter notes. Fresh floral character, light sweetness. Spicy dank hop finish and after. Nice pale ale.

32 oz, can. Pours a medium, slowly collapsing white head, with extensive lacing, over a clear dark gold (SRM 6) body.....nose is pine, resin, hints of citrus from the hops, light cereal from the malts, minimal esters with slight lemon and tropical fruit....taste is dry with light toasted malts, with cereal, toast tones, minimal esters, leading to a moderate pine, citrus tones from the hops, finishing with moderate bitterness.....mouth feel body light of medium, light acid finish. This is a pleasant, nicely balanced session beer. It is slightly low in complexity in both aroma and flavor, and would be better with a bigger malt bill. BJCP 7/3/14/4/6

The definition of a flavorful session pale ale is something like this. I have had better examples but as a $3.00 draft you could do far worse. Proving that you do not always need to go big or go home this release is making me seriously consider a visit to Mission when I head to San Diego later this year.

Aroma / Appearance - A bubbly head fizzes above a foundation of golden champagne. Light lemons, graham crackers, and sugar esters are a balance of hops that do not try to scrub the air clean like sandpaper. Instead it is more a mellow low key feel like a spring garden.

Flavor / Palate - Honey, lemons, almonds, and pleasant dry textures tickle the palate. While easy going it still packs some punch. A creamy finish makes this a worthwhile go to for days when you want something simpler. I’ll have to see if there are any other Mission beers on the shelf in the area.

32 ounce can from Whole Foods Charlottesville. Pours a slightly hazy amber color with a medium sized fizzy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of citrus, tropical, resin, pine hops and caramel. The taste is citrus, leafy, herbal, dank hops, caramel malts. Medium bodied, slight lingering bitterness, well balanced. 600th California rating, by the way!
