Our award winning Hefeweizen is one of the breweries most popular selections. Unlike the lemon-laden wheat beers that flood market today, Mission Hefeweizen is a true example of a classic Bavarian Hefeweizen - exhibiting a wonderful bouquet of clove, banana, pear, among other aromas and flavors which make this beer a refreshing and full flavored brew. Make no mistake – there is no fruit in this beer. The complex and flavorful character of our Hefeweizen is achieved by the authentic Bavarian yeast strain employed in its production. 15 IBU

Bottle. Poured a true to style a hazy light honey color. Small head that dissipated quickly. Great aroma of clove and banana. Some grass aroma also. Medium light sweetness. Ave to low carbonation. Banana flavors with a bit of spice, coriander. Not bad

Pours a golden cloudy amber with a small quickly fading white head. Aroma and Taste of sweet fruits, banana, wheat with some yeast, mild bitterness. A medium body, crisp mouth feel with good carbonation on the palate. Finishes with sweet fruity notes, some banana, wheat and yeast flavors with light bitterness on the end for balance. Overall a good, crisp and refreshing session ale.

The best beer out of 5 at the bocktown monaca today. Yes, just like a hefe. Very friendly aroma. Bubble gum and banana greets the olfactory. Smooth thin creamy head. Very well behaved. A little more spicey than I like but good none the less. Easy to enjoy. Some creamy carbonation on the palate.

12 ounce bottle. Loud fizzy rapidly dying head, flat-looking muddy orange beige. Green apple and banana aroma. Fruity sweet tart with tart finish. Easily the worst hefe-weizen I’ve had probably ever. Even worse than my homebrew. I swear I spent ten minutes looking for a date code.

A hazy yellow colored beer, with a thick white head. The aroma of fruits like banana, with wheat. The taste is fruity, also banana but with some orange. Sweet and a little bitter. The aftertaste is mostly sweet, less bitter.

This is a typical NA hefeweizen. Fruity and light but devoid of complexity or any sense of nuance.

Growler from Whole Foods. Foamy gold-orange pour. A tangy, yeasty aroma that grows rich as it warms. A sweet, matly hefe with more flavor than most - a very solid release.

Slightly hazy golden coloured body with a bit of a copper glow and a thin, almost non-existant off-white head. Aroma of grass, coriander seed, oranges, alcohol and a hint of metal. Medium-bodied; Strong wheat flavour at first then mellows out with some sour orange tastes, a hint of yeast, a little lemon and a light herbal flavour. Aftertaste shows a lot of wheat, a bit of sweetness, but mostly, sour and bitter lemon and curacao flavours. Overall, a decent hef, more on the ’relaxing’ and refreshing side of beers, but not horrible. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York on 18-November-2011 for US$3.30 sampled at home in Washington on 10-June-2012.

Pours hazy with brassy yellow hue and half-inch off-white froth. Aroma is balanced toward clove with hint of banana and wheat. Refreshing flavor built on wheat tang along with malt backbone, plus clove spiciness and pear notes from yeast. Moderate carbonation (could be higher) and slight residual sweetness.
