Our India Pale Ale exhibits a complex hop aroma, largely due to the generous usage of Cascade and Centennial hops, as well as a subtle malt character from the various malts used to achieve the wonderful balance exhibited in a world-class IPA. San Diego has become world renown for the wonderful and flavorful beers produced here – and India Pale Ales are no exception. Our national award winning interpretation of the style reflects both the history of IPA and the American variation of this distinct beverage. We hope you enjoy it! 66 IBU

Strong hops that linger on the after taste. Not much aroma on the nose, drinkable and solid but nothing I'd write home about. A beer I'd drink again but probably not with lots of other options on tap.

Bottle@ Kitty’s, Hki. Deep amber, hazy, thick white head. Fruity aroma, mango, pineapple, citrus, some woody notes perhaps. Flavor has citrus, blood orange, sweetness, some herbal notes as well. Smooth, high drinkability. Tasty, feels fresh as well. Nice.

(Bottle, 0.355 l, at Kitty’s, 20140625) The beer poured golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had sweetness, resin and fruitiness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, tangerine, fruitiness, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was fruity, sweet and bitter. The excessive fruitiness resulted in an unbalanced brew. Easy to drink.

Poured into tulip glass a hazy amber with small quick head that receded to the edge of glass. Aroma was grapefruit as is the taste. A small amount of bitter in the finish. A little lighter than many of the current American IPA’s was perfect with the pizza I had it with. Mouthfeel was thin.

(bottle - 12 oz) Hazy orange pour with a fluffy white head. Piney and slightly citrusy aroma with a good amount of hop bitterness under it. Flavor is malty and citrusy at the start with a nice blast of peppery hops in the middle. Lingering bitter finish.

bottle - Pours very hazy orange with a huge head requiring a multi-part pour. It’s extremely bubbly. Smell of oxidation and band-aid with a disgusting taste to match. Yep, it’s infected. The ratings are good enough that I’m willing to give this beer another try if I get the chance and will change my rating at that time if appropriate, but I’m sick of infected beers and rating them as is. Quality control matters.
