COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our India Pale Ale exhibits a complex hop aroma, largely due to the generous usage of Cascade and Centennial hops, as well as a subtle malt character from the various malts used to achieve the wonderful balance exhibited in a world-class IPA. San Diego has become world renown for the wonderful and flavorful beers produced here – and India Pale Ales are no exception. Our national award winning interpretation of the style reflects both the history of IPA and the American variation of this distinct beverage. We hope you enjoy it! 66 IBU

UPDATED: MAY 18, 2013 Pours an orange copperish color, with a thick white head. Big citrus hop aroma that gives way to almost a stale malt smell at the end. Just like the first smell, the first taste is big citrus hop(orange, grapefruit, and even a little lemon zest)... but there’s something not "fresh" about the malt background. Maybe its the bottle I got, but this leaves a lot to be desired, especially with how many good things I’ve heard about this beer. Decent, but probably not worth the $6+/bomber.

Alluring citrus aroma in a golden amber pour. Hop forward balance with restrained sweet malt body. Palate cleansing finish is crisp clean and sustained. A good beer - but nothing exceptional.

Red grapefruit aroma, pine tar too, some subtle cracker malt. Taste is big on grapefruit and citrus, some very subtle caramel and cracker. Sticky pine bitter finish.

Bottle at home, orange beer, small/medium head, aroma is citrus, orange, grapefruit. Taste is the same, quite fruity, bitter dry after taste.

Bottle at home. Aroma of citrus, pine, malt, tropical fruits, herbal notes, earthy hops. Flavour is moderate sweet and medium bitter. Well-balanced and earthy, on the malty side with fruity notes. Though I like my IPA more of a fruit bomb, this one is surprising and enjoyable.

Color caoba y espuma marfil compacta. Aromas cítricos, melocotón, miel y maltas. Cuerpo medio y maltoso inicio dulce, mermelada de fruta naranja y sabor de pino y resinas que llega a un final intenso y seco.

Has a nice amber color with a a frothy top that is a creamy color. Has a hop aroma but smells a bit tart. It has a strong tart/bitter taste and leaves a bad aftertaste and feel on the tongue.

Bottle. Grapefruit aroma, average carbonation. Very well finished medium hoppy IPA. Slightly bitter finish. Unlike the current trend of IPAs that try to beguile you with mega hops and high ABV, this one is balanced and very drinkable.
