COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our India Pale Ale exhibits a complex hop aroma, largely due to the generous usage of Cascade and Centennial hops, as well as a subtle malt character from the various malts used to achieve the wonderful balance exhibited in a world-class IPA. San Diego has become world renown for the wonderful and flavorful beers produced here Ė and India Pale Ales are no exception. Our national award winning interpretation of the style reflects both the history of IPA and the American variation of this distinct beverage. We hope you enjoy it! 66 IBU

Bottle, 12oz. A clear, golden beer topped by a finger-thick white head. The aroma is grassy and piney, with a generic fruityness and some malts. Itís quite bitter in the mouth, full-bodied and dry, with a decent carbonation level. A tad too sweetish though, and with some bready, almost caramel-like notes. Bitter and lightly fruity finish. Well, itís a decent brew, but it doesnít impress in any way, actually itís rather uninteresting and not a beer Iíd like to have again. 130805

Bottle at Sanderís place, NYC. One of my last beers of this trip. Pours clear orange with a foamy, off-white head. Dry citrus aroma with notes of wood, pine and toasted straw. Lovely flavor, medium sweet, some wood and grass, pine, candi sugar, mango, grapefruit. Medium in body with average, smooth carbonation. Sticky, lightly dry finish, nice and sweet, resinous pine, toasted sugar, grass, straw, juicy orange and grapefruit, some tropical fruits. This is a damn solid IPA.
