4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours deep dark gold into a snifter. White head with medium retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Sweet caramel and resin aromas. Sweet caramel and toffee upfront turning to a hot lasting resin finish.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from Spirits Lacey. Pours an attractive darker copper color with a small white head. Aroma is of white grapefruit, orange peel, light caramel and some hop resin. Unfortunately the taste goes a bit downhill, vegetables, odd hop bitterness, stale bread, rotting fruit, caramel, rubbing alcohol and some light citrus. Aroma showed promise, but taste did not live up to that.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from bottle into Weiss glass (all I had). Deep amber in appearance with pretty thick head that dissipates slowly while leaving behind considerable lacing. Aromas of caramel, pine, hops, grapefruit, and alcohol. Tastes include caramel, candy sugar, pine, resin. Smooth creamy mouthfeel with light carbonation with a hoppy bitter finish. Overall a good double IPA with decent character.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap. Pours clear amber with a small off-white head and good lacing. Aroma is of grapefruit, caramel malt and pine - right in my wheelhouse. Taste is grapefruit and malt, with alcohol notes coming on late and a piney bitter finish. Full bodied on the palate.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
A copper orange color with an off-white creamy head. Plenty of pine/citrus hops up front with treacle, sugary malts to balance. Nice feel and body, good hoppy follow. I look forward to this one again on my next visit!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
An amber colored brew with honey high lights.
There is a slight haze.A smallish white head on top fades to surface layer but is maintained througout the drink.
Aroma is a balanced aroma of strong hop bouquet of a floral nature and malts are mostly sweet and pale.
An aggressively hopped beer here, overwelmingly hoppy. Poor malts they have an uphill battle on there hands. malts are pale and sweet tasting but are very over matched here.
Very bitter tasting into the aftertaste.
A very hoppy brew here so much so that the hoppy bitterness overwelms everything it comes into contact with.
Not a bad tasting beer here and if your a hop head this beer is for you. This beer is not for me since I like hoppy beers that are more about hop flavor then bitterness.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Color reminds me of apricot with a foamy dissipating head and light lacing. Smells really sweet, a little perfumy, a little grapefruity, a little grainy, and a little like chlorinated water, with maybe a hint of pepperiness. Sweet then grainy then bitter. Seems slightly askew- the different aspects of the flavor don’t quite blend seamlessly. Hop finish could be a little more robust. Decent.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Heavy, candied, malty aroma coming off a hazy orangish amber body with a thin but persistent off-white head. Before you even taste anything, you notice this is creamy and medium bodied. Then the sweet candied fruit, pineapple and caramel flavors rush over the tongue. This is followed by a noticeable pungent hop bitterness that’s earthy and somewhat fungal (in a good way) and possibly a bit citrusy, but it’s hard to tell with everything else that’s going on here. This bitterness stays behind along with some of the sweetness for a well balanced aftertaste. This seems to get more enjoyable as it warms up (or is it just the 9% ABV talking?). Either way this is a unique and enjoyable DIPA.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a clear burnt orange color with aroma of citrus and floral. Taste is hebal and citrus. You can taste the hops in the beer. The aftertaste has a bitter bite to it which lingers after the swallow. A crisp tasting beer that bites you at the end.
