Bottle. A dark golden color with a foamy off-white head. A rather harsh flavor, astringent, and strong pine. A light fruity aroma. I love Double IPAs but found this one hard to finish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber from Peace Street Market, Raleigh. I wonder how long this one was on the trucks. Handsome enough, but a bit bready, with a distinctly faded malt profile. I know itís becoming more common for West Coast brewers to present a more malt-forward IPA (that now is a mark of distinction) but it certainly seems unbalanced in this case, and therefore probably unintended. Would be interested in trying it again when I knew it was fresh, but wonít go out of my way to do so.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Woody and oak hop; hefty rye malts. Minty herb aroma with black pepper and rye malts. Just a tad musty. Looks honey orange, slushy head and lace. Nice creamy backbone. Spicy and sharp peppercorn. Severe spices and a mojito burn on the finish. A great spicy ipa.

pours copper slightly lighter than copper with a nice two finger head that sticksaround for a little while. nose is pungent with a nose of intense orange rind, herbaceous and pine. Taste is resinous piney, intensely hoppy with notes of pine, citrus and everything else good and hoppy. a hopheads delight.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Brownish coppery orange, thick white head. Smells - well, my notes say "coppery", but Iím pretty sure thatís a typo. Actually, I wasnít typing my notes, so can it really be a typo? Should that be called a writo, maybe? Anyway, nice aroma caramel and piney, flowery hops, some spicy notes. Caramel and pine dominate the flavor, as well. Some alcohol heat as it warms.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a soft copper amber with two fingers of sticky offwhite head. Nose is very pungent and hoppy with a nice balance of sweet caramelly malt and citrusy hops with notes of mango and orange pulp. Some fusel alcohol and spice with a mild herbal character. Flavor is spicy with a prominent citrus rind bitterness and piny character. Warm alcohol. Favor is not as delicate as the nose. Palate is a bit sharp and warm.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap at my house. Pours a hazy deep orange amber with a foamy off white head that left tons of lacing. Aroma of loads of resiny hops, pine, some spicy hop notes, lots of caramel and maybe a hint of cardboard. Flavor of resiny pine notes, candy orange sweetness, caramel and yes some cardboard in the flavor. For a DIPA itís surprisingly smooth, yet has that grapefruit and pine hop bite. ABV pretty well hidden. Getting some earthy and toffee notes. As I spend more time with this Iím pulling out different aspects and enjoying it more. Might be because I dropped $90 on a sixtel. Iíll def have a chance to really figure out if I enjoy this one or not. Anyone want to try it, stop on over.

Gold pour with a frothy white head. Very mild aroma with caramel and some sweet citrus. The flavor has sweet honey with tiny hints of melon and grapefruit. Very cloying beer with just a mild lingering bitterness on the finish. Sticky, medium body with soft carbonation.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
earthy grassy hop aroma with caramellish malts apparent as well.slight hint of fruittiness...looks nice..dark orange clear color with creamy off white head..the taste is where the hops really start to dominate..citrus,piney,resiny spicy and peppery the maltiness appears as it warms very well done.very substantial..that first sip is a hop monster however..pretty thick and creamy for the type as well goes down easy and quickly with a lingering bitter aftertaste..will be buying this one again
