4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Aromas of sugary, sticky malts, bready yeast, and apricot. Clear orange-bronze with a mostly lasting, sticky white head. A little sweet on the attack, cleans up quickly as the hop bitterness comes in, some flavors of stone fruit and warm caramel, and alcohol. Medium bodied, sticky, finishes with thick malts leading towards balancing bitterness, and slight heat. Quite west coast in the way of hops, with a very structured malt profile.

Wow. Beautiful, balanced aromas with a frothy head. A gorgeous amber color. The taste is smooth, yet grainy and hoppy enough for you to enjoy the spice, but just enough for a kick. And this goes throughout the entire palate with a lasting finish. Drink this beer.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy dark copper body under a one finger tight bubbled off-white head. The nose isnít especially screaming Double IPA to me, the hops just arenít there. Thereís a much more prominent malty aroma. What hops are there, are piney and resiny over the sweet caramel malt base. The flavor is much more Barleywine like than DIPA. The malt drives the flavor with its heavy sweetness, while the hops are more in the background. Thereís plenty of bitterness, but not much flavor from them. Medium to full bodied with a slightly chewy and sticky body, soft gentle carbonation. This just isnít what I want from a DIPA.

Poured amber with a light white head, the aroma is citrus, hoppy and some some sweetness, taste is sweet up front, then bitter, citrus and lingering bitterness, carbonation is middling, and you feel the alcohol for sure on the back end

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from South Bay Drugs: Once poured, there was a large amount of foam that took up a quarter of my glass and mind you I did give it a generous pour. The liquid was a golden honey color and the nose had a bold presence of citrus and sticky green hops. The flavor is intensely bitter with west coast hops, and a squeeze of citrus perhaps grapefruit. This is a big improvement compared to the other beers Mission has been putting out on tap and in bottles.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Nice Californian double IPA. Pours is copper gold , and taste is citrusy with pineapple resin. Taste lingers on for a bit which is common with most ales of this style. Very good overall. Cheers!

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
12 oz bottle into a pint glass.
A: Pours a hazy copper color. It requires a very aggressive pour just to yield one finger of white-colored head, and even then, it doesnít have good retention. A little bit of lacing is left behind, though.
S: Very citrusy...but also very sweet. The hops bring some nice grapefruit notes and even a few tropical fruit hints. On the other hand, itís smothered by all that sweet caramel and toffee coming from the malt backbone.
T: Two words: toffee bomb. It has a citrusy start, before the huge maltiness takes over. Maybe thereís some mint in the finish. Did I mention its a toffee bomb? Because sweet zombie Jesus, this is ridiculously sugary for an IPA. Itís also kind of boozy.
M: Itís crisper on the back end than I would have guessed. This bite helps give it a touch more drinkability than I expected - which means itís pretty good for such a thick, sugary, syrupy DIPA. Decent carbonation also helps, too.
O: Iím not a fan of this big, boozy, sugary sweet DIPA, but this isnít horrible. It also doesnít do much to make it more desirable to someone averse to this kind of beer. Itís decent enough, all things considering.

Bottle at home. Pours clear gold, thin white head. Big grapefruit aromas, little else, but nice. Taste brings caramel and more bitterness. oily texture, clean bitter finish. Good stuff.
