COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A style of beer curiously born on the foggy shores of Father Junipero Serra’s first founding mission. Our own vigorous entry is one rebellious IPA, quick on the trigger, and brimming with a bounty of hop ingenuity. This is a big, bold, brazen beer, a restless vision of a new America.

Draft at Good Dog. Hazy orange pour. Tight foamy white head. Spritz of lace at the top of the glass. Hoppy floral citrus aroma. Feels like a big dry hop bomb. Tastes of tangerine peels, celery stalks, grapefruit pith, vanilla caramel, green peppercorns, dill, sage, straw, and burnt apricot pits. Juicy but also very bitter and dry. Missing a lot of darker elements but the nicely overhopped bitters bring the level up without needing malt sweetness.

Aroma is muted but sweet and a little hoppy. Appearance is off; color is right, but head was tiny. Taste was sour and a bit bitter, but not from hop. Finishing taste was sour with some stale. Palate was lacking carbonation, but a nice texture and thickness.

On tap poured a deep golden hue w/ a moderate white head and excellent lacing. Moderate aromas of orange, apricot, biscuity malts, caramel and floral hops. initial flavor is moderate sweet to an average bitter finish of short duration head. Taste is similar to the nose plus piney resin. Medium to full, slightly sticky body, soft carbonation. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy copper orange with a medium creamy off-white head that goes to a thin film and leaves some lacing.

The aroma is subdued - some resiny hops and alcohol.

The flavor is a little sweet malt with a ton of sharp bitter alcohol. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.

Overall, I remember this being much better on tap. All I get is bland bitter alcohol.

12 ounce from four pack. Am I the first to purchase this in Lexington? I’ll imagine that I am. Big orange pour. Alcohol in taste and nose. Bit malty. Tropical fruit. Hoppy and big. Bitter.

Pours deep amber with a large, lasting head. Aroma of pine, fruity confectionery, floral hops and some clean malt underneath. Also some toasty malt. More interesting malt as flavours along with harsh pine and grassy hops followed by hot booze. Carbonation could be higher.

Aroma is citrus, lemons, light tropical fruit and a hint of sweetness. The flavor is citrus, grapefruit, biscuit malts, hop resin and a long and bitter/slightly tart finish. Didn’t have a sickening sweetness that ruins other DIPAs, definitely among the better DIPAs I’ve had.

Aroma is sweet caramel with citrus bursts and mild spices. Flavour is sweet caramel and banana balanced well with a good dose of hops. The hops are not the star in this beer though, the wort is the real winner here ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle. The pour here is a copper color with a thin off-white head that leaves some light lacing here and there. This smells of brown sugar, resinous hops, and caramel. There’s bread notes mixing in there too. The flavor adds some sweet orange/tangerine to resinous hops and caramel. It’s slick, sweet, and fairly thick in the body. It does dry out a bit in the finish, with sharp bitterness, but not without some lingering sticky malt and alcohol. Meh. Decent. A little too much malt and I’m not a huge fan of the mostly resinous hop profile.
