cazort (340), San Diego, California, USA Jul 9, 2008 (Bottle) Looks transparent, little head. Light, a tiny bit crisp. Weak aroma. Some hops, I like the character of the hops, actually, but they’re not very strong. I can’t taste any complexity in the malt...there’s little richness to this beer, but at least it’s not thin. Better than most macros but nothing outstanding. My main complaint is that it’s boring.
Sparky27 (498), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Aug 5, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear deep gold with 2 finger off-white head and spotty lacing. Nose is sweet grains and light hops. Taste is similar – sweet grain, malt and a mild hop finish. Medium mouth feel. Nothing mind boggling, but nice and refreshing on this hot summer day. elnadeau (786), Laguna Niguel, California, USA Jul 19, 2008 Bottle from Trader Joe’s. Gold pour with a decent head, light sweet malty aroma, a bit of hop in the background. Flavor is somewhat sweet, bready malt, some light fruit with a good hop balance. Body is moderate which is a pleasant suprise considering the abv, finish is crisp and balanced. A nice, very drinkable summer session ale, will plan to have some on hand for my BMC swilling in-laws. Aroma – Good malt nose with a huge hops aroma. WOW
Appearance – Golden in color, Nice head and clear.
Flavor – Good blonde ale characteristics expect this also had a huge hops flavor well more than a blonde ale should have.
Palate – Nice Mouthfeel, Decent texture with a good dry finish.
Overall – A nice beer this was good for the hot day and mowing the lawn.
marcus (966), Sacramento, California, USA Jun 27, 2008 This clear golden ale poured with a modest off-white head and a sweet malty aroma. There is a sense of drinking apple juice, although there is a substantial malt base and a hoppy finish.
