Poured from a bomber into a pilsener. Pretty standard hefe aromas of banana, wheat and a touch of spice. Gorgeous cloudy orange color, but the head is gone almost instantly. Bright flavors of bready malts, tangerine and spice. Finishes with only a slightly sweet flavor. This is a solid hefeweisen and a great value.

650 ml, bottled 01/25/13. Foggy, golden pear color with a lasting disc of bubbles on top. Aroma of spicy banana, fresh green grass, caramel and a hint of evergreen resin. Flavor is ripe banana, citrus, a hint of clove, wheat, and a tart finish of citrus zest, dry grass and resin. Too-light body is well balanced and has medium-high carbonation. Pretty good and much closer to a German Hefe than most American crap imitators that don’t even use the right yeast.

The body was light and even and meh. Drinkability was OK, but why bother? With the lack of overall presence, this is a forgettable example of the style. Maybe a budget buy for a gathering where the focus isn’t on beer.

Long Island, NY - 20 oz. poured a wheaty hazy color with cloudy white head. Aroma was classic hefeweizen with some ketonic hints. Taste was initially quite good but it's a thin beer, no mouth feel. After taste is very ethanol heavy. Run of the mill hefe ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle: cloudy orange pour with small white head. Aroma has notes of sweet banana, bubble gum, and yeast. Flavor is over-ripe banana with caramel, a yeasty bitter, a peppery spice, and a touch of tart citrus. Palate is mostly sweet but has minor bitterness and tartness and a big carbonation tingle. Interesting flavors, thou a bit jumbled, and easy drinking overall; it was worth the two bucks.

Poured a slightly hazy, light golden color with a decent sized head that quickly dissipates. Slight aroma of banana bread. Yeastiness comes through more so on the tongue. Slight banana aftertaste. Pretty light and easy to drink. Not a great hefeweizen.

Oh glorious Mission St. u’ve to be my new beer of favorite taste and splendor. Pours with orange colour like hot desert sun and tasting of wheat and other spl tree fruits.

aroma is a bit skunky and musty. looks a little more like an american wheat than a hefe. flavor is heavier on the orange that i would expect, but not bad otherwise.

Pours cloudy golden with a fully receding white head. Notes of peppery yeast, pear, banana, light citrus, sweet malt.

for the price it’s a very good beer. The aroma had a mixture of bananas and baby-food peas that I disliked, but the flavor was better. Crisp, slightly hoppy, with a mildly malty finish. Golden peach in color, substantial head. Not something I’d buy again, but a decent beer for a $2.29 double deuce.
