OK label, standard 22 oz US bomber. Half-foggy honey gold beer, fluffy white head which collapses fairly quickly, large grained cabonation. Slightly peanutty, slightly fruity wet paper bag aroma. Nicely sweet and tangy. Not hefe-funky at all, not really spicy. Moderately hopped. This isnt big beer, but it was handled well. Up there with some of the better hefes that Ive had (notably Live Oak out of TX). A bargain at $2.99 at Trader Joes in Tallahassee. This will become a staple in my cellar (read: garage) especially during the summer here in Florida. Now, Im going to throw a slug of OJ into it...

22oz bottle, shared with friends. Bottled 6/28/13. Mostly clear orange color. Thin off-white head. Loose bits of lace. None really stick. Medium body. Lighter carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Head fades to minimal. Rindy orange citrus aroma. Caramel malt, light spice. Tastes less like a hefeweizen and more like a cheap american "craft" wheat ale. Sweeter taste, lightly musty. Subpar, kind of biting, over sweet and simple wheat ale; not very well-rounded.

22floz/650ml bottle into a weizen glass, served cold. Aroma: Spice, but not the clove aroma like in hefes Ive enjoyed in the past. Some mild yeast. Pretty timid. Harmless. Appearance: Hazy, but bright, yellow/orange body with a nice, fluffy white head. Taste: Wow, theres the clove flavor. BURSTING with that nice spice. Good and malty. Pretty tasty! Palate: Medium body, with a short spiced finish. Overall: I wasnt sure about this one at first, but it has a pretty fantastic flavor. Quite nice indeed!

Bomber from Trader Joes. Holy shit! This is probably gotta be the hands down best hefe for the money that is out there. Only $2.69?!? It was delicious and refreshing and a pretty spot on example of the style. Now that being said, it is definitely NOT the best hefe ive ever had. it is certainly an american imitation of the german style, and they manage to come pretty close. But it is not as peppery or banana/clove as the authentic versions. But for my money, this drink pretty damn good!

Bomber from Trader Joes. Small head by hefe standards. The aroma is fruity with weak hefe characteristics. Mild banana, mild clove, faint bubblegum. Creamy, smooth palate. More weak banana and bubblegum on the finish. Finishes a bit on the sweet side, maybe a hint of oxidation. Not awful, just a bit blah.

22oz bomber from Trader Joes. Cheap. Great value beer! Taste was agreeable. Nice grapefruit forward sweetness. Perfect hefe. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle with Simon and Keith, pours hazy gold with light lace. Notes of rust, wheat, honey, and copper. Might be infected or way past its prime? Might just suck. Not really sure.

Aroma of sweet wheat, some banana, and cinnamon. Cloudy yellow in color with a fluffy white head. Sweet wheat is the first taste, pretty one dimensional. Finishes with a mild bitterness that ends well. Missing the spicy cloves and banana esters typical of the style....not bad for the price though.

Bomber->weizen. Cloudy pale gold with huge fizzy white head that quickly settles to a small foam. A: wheat, bananas, citrus, clove. T: bright citrus dominates, with wheat body and bananas on the finish. OK.

Pours a nice golden color. Smells like a typical hefe. Missing some much need head. Tastes good. Definitely a good summer brew and would be good with a fresh orange slice too. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
