3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from big bottle. Aroma of vanilla, spice, bread and a touch of smoke. Golden with slight head. I taste vanilla cake, yeast, pear, citrus, touch of pepper and honey. Mellows as it warms. We’ll done.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber from TJ’s in Tally. Sparse note: banana, clove, little bubblegum, wheat. Crisp, straightforward, drinkable. Not bad for 3 bucks. - 7.0

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22oz bomber pours with a coppery to gold body that has a slight haze and supports really no head at all. The aroma offers up grainy wheat, some lemon and sweet banana. The taste starts with grainy malts, wheat notes and some sharp lemon like citrus. In the background is a faint sweet banana note. This is a pretty nice hefe.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Really good for the price. A little lacking on the aroma but the flavor is really good. The banana flavors come through nicely.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
slightly hazy orange with moderate amount of thick, sticky eggshell colored foam; sweet almost syrupy aroma of banana and caramel; flavor is sweet and yeasty as well, with a gentle bitterness. The palate is medium bodied, thinning fairly quickly. It’s a delicious hefe, straight forward flavors.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tallahassee, Fl - Trader Joe’s - 22 oz bomber. Hazy dark orange appearance, light snow white head that sticks around a while. Light clove and banana aroma. Flavor is standard hefeweizen with some artificial banana flavor, a hint of cloves, a touch of yeast. Mouthfeel is pretty thick. Refreshing - decent hefe.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
OK label, standard 22 oz US bomber. Half-foggy honey gold beer, fluffy white head which collapses fairly quickly, large grained cabonation. Slightly peanutty, slightly fruity wet paper bag aroma. Nicely sweet and tangy. Not hefe-funky at all, not really spicy. Moderately hopped. This isn’t big beer, but it was handled well. Up there with some of the better hefe’s that I’ve had (notably Live Oak out of TX). A bargain at $2.99 at Trader Joe’s in Tallahassee. This will become a staple in my cellar (read: garage) especially during the summer here in Florida. Now, I’m going to throw a slug of OJ into it...

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
22oz bottle, shared with friends. Bottled 6/28/13. Mostly clear orange color. Thin off-white head. Loose bits of lace. None really stick. Medium body. Lighter carbonation. Lightly dry finish. Head fades to minimal. Rindy orange citrus aroma. Caramel malt, light spice. Tastes less like a hefeweizen and more like a cheap american "craft" wheat ale. Sweeter taste, lightly musty. Subpar, kind of biting, over sweet and simple wheat ale; not very well-rounded.

3.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
22floz/650ml bottle into a weizen glass, served cold.
Aroma: Spice, but not the clove aroma like in hefes I’ve enjoyed in the past. Some mild yeast. Pretty timid. Harmless.
Appearance: Hazy, but bright, yellow/orange body with a nice, fluffy white head.
Taste: Wow, there’s the clove flavor. BURSTING with that nice spice. Good and malty. Pretty tasty!
Palate: Medium body, with a short spiced finish.
Overall: I wasn’t sure about this one at first, but it has a pretty fantastic flavor. Quite nice indeed!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber from Trader Joes. Holy shit! This is probably gotta be the hands down best hefe for the money that is out there. Only $2.69?!? It was delicious and refreshing and a pretty spot on example of the style. Now that being said, it is definitely NOT the best hefe i’ve ever had. it is certainly an american imitation of the german style, and they manage to come pretty close. But it is not as peppery or banana/clove as the authentic versions. But for my money, this drink pretty damn good!
