Bottle from this trader named Joe. Orange amber with small, spitty white lace. Nose shows some tropical fruits underneath some sweeter malt, the aromas are there, but they are slightly muted by the malt. Just noticed the bottling date. 4/11/12. Thats a lot older than I prefer my IPAís but sometimes that hard with beers like this. Itís actually not terrible for being a little over 2 months old. Would like to retry fresh.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Trader Joeís. Aroma is bready malt base with fruity hops, mild pine and resin. Appearance is minimally hazy light brown with attractive sparkle, finger-width white fizzy head with decent retention and lacing. Taste is mix of sweet and bitter fruit and bread. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture and average to lively carbonation and dry, bitter fruity finish. Overall, some complexity but not overly so; lasting impact of hops is more for bittering than flavor.

Bottle. Hazy golden body with a off-white, frothy head. Aroma of citrus, pine, resin, caramel. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Lingering bitterness and resin taste along with grapefruit rind, citrus. Short of a resin bomb because of the malt backbone.

Lots of flavor (bitter) in this beer. I had this side-by-side with a Mission St. Pale Ale, and I liked the stronger, bitter flavor in the IPA better: big surprise. This is a solid IPA.

Whoa. For an IPA you can get on the cheap (thanks Trader Joeís), Mission Street is a damn fine creation. Mission Street pours amber-orange with a frothy off-white head. Aroma is dank with hops, but you can still detect the caramel malt. Taste follows the aroma. Sweet malt, citrusy hops (grapefruit juice, orange peel, orange juice, lime), and pine. Allegedly, Firestone Walker brews this for TJís distribution. If thatís the case, I can definitely see why this brew is excellent. If not, itís solid piece of craftsmanship. Next time, Iíll just get a six-pack...

Deep golden with a white head - hoppy aroma with fruits and citrus - Good malt to support a good hop flavour with citrus and hints of pine - Hop finish with citrus that ends dry - This was good

Pours amber. Excellent frothy white head. Aroma is mostly caramel malts. Taste is caramel malty sweet. Good medium mouthfeel. Finish is grapefruit pine and orange. Pretty standard IPA but heavy on the malts. Good bev.

Hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Very light and sweetish malt. A lovely floralness that carries mild violets and a touch of candy fruits. Hops are medium orange and orange pith with lesser grapefruit and pine. Smooth finish. Noble hop like spicy linger. Lovely, lots going on and super drinkable.

12oz bottle - For some reason when I shop at TJís, the IPA is always out. This time, for $5.99 a six-pack and itís on the shelf..yeah....a no-brainer. To the beer starts out with a nice sniff of hops. Nothing really specific or that I could zero in on, just hops. Itís rather odd that nothing really stands out, but itís like smelling a bag of hops just taken out of the cooler. Flavor has medium bitterness to it, with a very light (thank you) crystal malt profile. The guys at Firestone let the hops be the star, and the beer is better because of it. The malts are there, make no mistake and itís a bready-like sweetness to it. Mouthfeel is nice, evenly balanced. Nothing to get worked-up over, but a solidly built beer, easy to enjoy on a warm March afternoon and the price is oh-so right.
