Steinhaus Brewing Co.
This hand crafted brew is a perennial winner at beer competitions around the world. Nothing but pure water, hops, malted barley and yeast are used in the brewing process Ė nothing artificial, ever. Itís light-tasting and refreshing, while maintaining the essence of what a pale ale should be Ė amber in color with well balanced hops and a smooth finish. Whether youíre in the market for an interesting beer to serve at a holiday gathering or just a smooth, satisfying brew to enjoy with dinner, Mission St. Pale Ale fills the bill.

Sweet caramel malts with a nice hop profile, good crisp finish. I would say this is a good pale ale for the price but actually this is a very good pale ale period. I donít think youíll find a better american pale ale for 5.99 a six pack. This beer has now replaced sierra nevada as my standard refrigerator beer. Itís not a perfect APA. It could use a touch more hops and a little less sweetness but all in all itís pretty darn good.

This is a tasty little pale ale for sure. It could almost pass as a session IPA. In the glass, it is clear and pilsener golden. Itís head is small and of mixed bubbles and leaves behind little ropes of lace. The focus here is very much on citrus zest hop notes and pleasantly resinous bitterness. It is quite dry and light on the palate w/o being watery with some floral notes coming out in the long, bitter finish. This was brewed by Firestone Walker and they did a real good job of it.

Pale gold color, thin head. Hoppy aroma. Tasted like pears. Light bodied. Not a pale ale fan but enjoyed this. Nice on a warm day.

Bottle from Trader Joes. Pours yellow with no head. Big piney hop aroma. Based on the aroma, I was expecting a hop bomb APA which seems to be the trend but I found some good balance with some layers of flavor and a mellow finish. This one is pretty good.

Mission St. Pale Ale has a thin, white head, a clear, bubbly, golden appearance, noticeable tiny white specs suspended throughout, and some small amount of lacing left on the glass. The aroma is of pale malt, mild citrus, and maybe a kiss of the hops. Taste is the same, with minimal hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is pretty light, and Mission St. Pale Ale finishes mostly dry and easy drinking. RJT

Bottle poured into a pint glass. Pretty pale golden color with a foamy head that sticks around for a few minutes. What you smell is what you get. Mild hops with some citrus and not much else. Great for $1 and better than Bud or Coors.

Reviewed from notes. The appearance had a glowing yellow body, slightly amber at the edges, light foamy head. The smell had a slight flowery, lemon, grapefruit, pine, light grass in the background. The taste had a roasted caramel up front, yet faded as the beer warms, previously mentioned flavors show up as the beer warmed. The palate was pretty light, pretty sessionable, dry bitter aftertaste and finish. Overall, the best thing about this was the price, other than that, just an average American Pale Ale.

bottled 1/15/14, about a month and half ago. pours clear gold, minimal white head. nose is of mild citrus. moderate bitterness with oranges, grapefruit, and other assorted citrus wrapped in a crushable light body. not sure why everyone is scoring this low.

Pours a clear pale gold color with a white head. Hop, floral, citrus, grass and malt aroma. Light hop, grass, floral, honey, citrus and malt flavors. Light body and medium carbonation. Slightly sweet with a light floral finish.
