Commercial Description:
Dating back to 18th century England, the custom of blending pale and dark beers has kept the "Black & Tan" a favorite of experienced beer drinkers for centuries. Our famous recipe combines a robust English Porter with a fine Continental Pilsner, preserving the character of each, while creating the classic taste of the legendary "Black & Tan." In true American style, we bring you the best of both beers as they meet in Mississippi Mud.

A deep red beer with a small brown disappearing head. The aroma is sweet and roasted. The flavor is dry with notes of metal and a hoppy end, while the body is flat.

Brown coloured. Some malt notes in the aroma. Extremely thin and weak. I can imagine this is what dirty Mississippi water tastes like.

Bottled: Amber coloured. Beige head. Aroma of malt, soy souce, winegum. Very thin body. Some malts are there. This is a very uncool beer in a cool bottle.

Ah, the mud, I enjoy the taste very much, nice and nutty, and the brewing process has rendered this beer a classic, nothing etrxa special, but a decent beer nonetheless.

Pours well, very thick. Nutty taste, pleasant after taste... Not a bad brew at all, infact I will have another. I have decide, that this is an excellent B&T save for the bottle, dont really like the little crock sytle bottles.

This beer is neither black nor tan, it is kind of a brownish-cola color, like soiled drawers. Tastes better than that though... not much better. Very flat tasting and kind of like a root beer suck-on candy. Not even that good.
