750 ml corked bottle shared with Capflu, Goldorak, beerbuzzmontreal, and DumDum at the Ciderwinder tasting in Ottawa. Unfiltered light golden, little fizzing or bubbling action...lovely nose of fresh tart apples, vanilla and a mite of oak...generally quite sweet, though never cloying, with sweet apple pie spiciness throughout, tart acidity coming in later, fairly low carbonation. Quite nice.

Pours a hazy yellow color with a lot of floaties. Very good aroma of tart apples and yeast. Excellent flavor of apples, vanilla and spices.

Tints of yellow and very cloudy. The bottle says unfiltered, and they are not kidding, because I had a massive deposit and a few floaties in my glass. A bit musty at first, but after a second and thrid whiff, it was like the dessert cart came rolling by me, with freshly baked apple crumble, the vanilla of a crème brulée, and the freshness of a peach sorbet. Good round sweetness, cinnamon and a sharp zing finish. Carbonation is low and was all around easy to drink. Perhaps too cloying to drink gallons of it, but I’d gladly share with a few friends, just like Muzzlehatch did with us, and I thank him for it.

(750ml bottle) Unfiltered. Cloudy, peachy juice colour with a sweet and tart nose/ Far sweeter flavour than the nose lets on. Mild cinnoman, peach and homemade apple pie and crust. Very good. Finish is a tad short. Many thanks to Muzzlehatch for supplying this Michigan gem.

I think this is my first cider...and i liek it pretty well i think. looks pale and bubbly but no head to speak of. Aroma is apples basically with some mustiness. Flavor is tart apple juice with the alcohol being nonexistent. its hard to believe this has any alcohol at all. this is nicely refreshing.

cierguy is right in that this is a) super fresh and b) fairly cloudy - although mine cleared up a bit after a while. Immediate impression is of zero alcohol and very freshly pressed apples - no spices or anything else, no farmyardy mustiness but there is some cardboard in the aroma. I thought is was quite good; not up to the etienne standard....

The nose was interesting to say the least. A clash between fresh pressed cider apples and an old musty basement. Its pour was straw yellow and very cloudy, if not opaque. Several bits of apples could be seen dancing in the glass. Many small champagne like bubbles when first boured, then quickly became stagnent. Its taste well patterned the aroma with crisp apples and dusty, dank, wooden barrels. Aftertaste was not too offensive, but didn't make me want to reach for the bottle to pour another glass. Over all, this was one I could do without again. Not terribly bad, but not worth the $8.00 price.
