Sledge Jr (2720), Omaha, Nebraska, USA Apr 18, 2006 Updated: Jun 23, 2007On tap at the brewpub. Pale yellow with a thin white head. Great yeasty aroma- smells like a Kölsch. Has an excellent lemony bitter biting flavor. Outstanding drying bitterness at the end without the typical Kölsch bite. This is possibly the finest Kölsch ever commercially made in Nebraska! UPDATE 6/2007: Just had this on tap at the Nebraska Craft brewer’s festival. It seems fairly pedestrian to me these days. Nowhere near like the true kölsch that I remember it being. No mistakes, but just not a remarkable beer.
