COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A beer created in collaboration with Latvian rock band Prāta vētra, based on the old recipe from Jānis Jubalts’ father’s recipe book. Together with a classic hops and malt scent, the velvety, mild taste and distinct caramel aroma of Mītavas beer gives this variety a characteristic and unique scent combination.

500ml bottle. Dark golden color. Small off-white head. Malty, bready, sweet, filthy notes in aroma. Why am I doing this?

Pours clear golden with a white and disappearing head. Malty aroma with notesof bread. Taste is rather similar, mild and malty. Just another typical bulk lager. (0,5l bottle at the Riga (RIX) airport lounge in Latvia)

Little of plastic in aroma, wet hops. Pint in Al can. Pale lager at its way to premium lager, with soft malt. Short aftertaste, not very bitter.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkelgoldenes Bier mit schöner weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht getreidig, malzig, ansonsten ziemlich schwach. Geschmack leicht fruchtig malzig, leicht herb, getreidig, etwas süß.

Very malty-watery taste, hints of fruits, weird, sticky aftertaste.. Drinkable when cold, but not if it becomes warmer - then it’s salty bitter - not in the good way.. For cheap, taste Latvian pale lager, not so bad (when cold).

Standard macro cheap pale lager in Latvia with bit more malt base, grainy, weird fruitiness, some unplesant cardboardish presence. Sweetish with very light bitterness. Not disaster but..

From the archives. Fresh, malty pale lager. I always thought that it is helles. Good when warm and perfect when below 8degC. Do not miss it.

Flaske 0,5l. Påspandert og delt med flere under seanse på Tårnrommet 16 Apr 13. Gyldengul. Høyt skum som varer lenge. Beskjeden maltaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Pappsmak. Avslutter litt søtt.

Can 50cl, Rimi Bauska Latvija. Offwhite slowly diminishing head on a deep golden body. Faint scents, raisins, apricots, but faint scents, and a hint of propane. Tastes hops, roasted grains, burnt toast, burnt malts. Slippery mouthfeel, with a decent bitterness as a signature on it. Aftertaste bread, malts, rye bread, notes of cardboard. Overall alright, and maybe from its dark colour close to something else than just pale lager. Maybe semi premium amber lager, but nevertheless, take it as it is.

UPDATED: FEB 13, 2014 Bottle. Clear. Medium white head. Good carbonation. Sweet aroma - reminds me of apples. Taste is very ’yeasty’ and fruity. Definitely a unique taste (in a good way). In large quantities might be a bit too acidic. Overall a really good beer for its price tag.
