3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pint at the pub, this is one of the mainstays here. It pours black with a tan frothy head, nose includes roasted nuts, some molassas. Medium body, with an oily mouthfeel that I would assume is from the peanuts, there is a nice peanut flavor mixed in as well with chocolate malt flavors. Very easy to drink, pretty good.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at the brewpub, Grand Rapids. Deep ruddy brown body, thin tan head. Roasty nose with dry chocolate, peanut, and caramel. Lots of acidity in the body ashy salty peanuts, toast, caramel, and brown sugar. Rather thin but interesting.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours deep brown/black with a thin tan head. Aroma has bold roastiness...hints of dark fruit, booze, dark chocolate, and the faintest hint of peanut. Flavor briefly displays some PB but it is quickly and rudely interrupted by over aggressive roastiness...char, dark chocolate, dark fruit...slightly overbearing roasty bitterness. Mouthfeel is light/medium with a dry lingering finish of molasses/bold roastiness/dark chocolate. This beer is just too muddled and the flavors are way out of balance. And where the hell is the peanut butter!? Way too faint.

Tap. Deep brown with small head. Slight peanut taste. Sweet porter. Pretty tasty, but I don’t catch any crackerjack.
