500 ml bottle in Germany. Is a dark chestnut brown with just a so light brown head. Lost of carb action in the glass, but with very small soft bubbles, that keep spewing forth. Aroma is a nice roasty malt. Creamy roaty taste with some sweetness and a very nice smooth finish. A very good Dunkel!!
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 kiwianer (838) - Mönchengladbach, GERMANY - MAY 30, 2012
Fazit: Lecker!

The beer in the glass is dark copper-colored, with high, fine creamy off-white head. It smells nutty-roasty, hoppy and malty-bitter. Starts sligthly roasty, malty-sweet, nutty and hoppy-bitter. The middle part shows sweet, slightly nutty and hoppy-musty with lots of roasted malts. Goes into a hoppy-metallic, fermented-fruity and sourish finish!

A robust, but immensely drinkable dunkel with plenty of cocoa and dark fruit flavors

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear, dark amber golden with a dense, off-white head. Sweetish aroma of roasted malt. Medium body, sweetish roasted malt and a little burned caramel with a whiff of sulphur. Dry finish with a subdued bitterness. 090109

Bottled. A deep red beer with a huge bubblu orange-tan head . The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of metal, caramel, and alcohol, a bit simple, leading to a dry metallic and lightly alcoholic finish, where just a bit of caramel and bread lingers.

Bottle, 5.2%. Good bready aroma, slightly vinous and creamy. Clear dark brown colour, small stable tan head. Good roasted flavour, a bit too citric for my liking. Creamy aftertaste.

50 cL bottle, 5.2%. Pours clear and golden amber with a diminishing tan head. Roasted malt and dark fruity aroma. Flavour is roasted malt towards dark breadish. Stays on the dried side of dark fruity accents. Ends dry and roasted malty with a light bitterness and acidic touch.

Bottle. Very malty, light smell of cola and light bitter. Small light brown creamy-fizzy head, rather fast disappearing; dark red body. Moderate bitter and malty taste, medium duration. Medium body, dry texture, soft carbonation and light astringent finish. A good one, nice malty Dunkel.
