COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Chocolate malt gives this unfiltered ale its nice brown color. Lightly hopped with Willamette and Tettnang hops. Smooth, mild flavor with a medium mouth feel.

Brown with amber edges. Caramel and cardboard in the nose. Not too special. The flavor is full of caramel and some hops. I wasn’t overly excited about this one.

Tap @ Brewpub in Lewiston, ID<BR>Brownish color, tan head, light lacing. Nose of light plum, chocolate and strong caramel malt. Near a schwarzbier ale. Toffee. The flavor is grassy and chewy. Balanced and a sticky dull mouthfeel.

Another brown ale with typical tones of maltiness and a bit of nuts. Rather smooth with medium body and average taste. Didn’t notice any of the chocolate malt, but kept tasting the walnut and pecan tones.

The flavor is traditional brown: malty nuts and toasted sugar. I think Portlandrunk and I had very similar reactions to this, as I also think there was nothing special with this - just a good brown ale.

A fair brown ale. Nothing that really jumps out at you, but drinkable none the less. An agreeable beer.
