3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Sham (1846) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 26, 2006
Amber with a light head and off white spots. Floral and slightly bitter in the nose. Warm malts. The flavor is bitter and a touch perfumey. Bitter end with a full mouthfeel.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 BückDich (5467) - McCall, Idaho, USA - MAY 11, 2006
Tap @ Brewpub in Lewiston, ID<BR>Copper gold color, light off-white head. Good lacing. Nose of light crispy hops, a bit of malts, some funky off-notes. The flavor is average, a bit thin. Ho-hum pale.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 jake65 (2166) - Williston, North Dakota, USA - FEB 20, 2006
Compared to Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Id pick this brew every time. Not sharp or pungent of hops as some pale ales, but very well balanced and tame. Dont get me wrong, it is full of hop flavor and body, just not overwhleming. Balanced would be the best summary. Great beer for many occaissons.
3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 drismyhero (815) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - JAN 4, 2003
Big smell and great hop presence. I found it rather amusing the brewer actually admitted to emulating the Sierra Nevada pale in the description. I thought it was fairly similar, but much toned down. This beer lacked a bit in bitterness, but packed almost all of the flavor - and I love th Sierra Nevada so thats saying a lot.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Murphy (1759) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - DEC 27, 2002
Great pale ale. Generally I find pales boring and tasteless, but this one had a great hop presence and a full body. One of this brewerys biggest successes.
