3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 pdxmickey (33) - Spokane, Washington, USA - OCT 22, 2007
Tap@brewpup.
Well I thought that this was the best beer of the whole selection at MJ Barleyhoppers. The color is a mild red, with a light head. I would describe the palate to be very calm and smooth, this is not a bitter red at all. I would get another one of these when I visit next.
2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Sham (1846) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 26, 2006
Reddish amber with a light off white head. Caramel and fuity aroma. Caramel with some fruits and citrus flavors. Finishes clean, but boring.

Tap @ Brewpub in Lewiston, ID<BR>Auburn red, light head and lacing. Nose of light caramel malt, very light and bland though. The flavor is also a bit blah, I cant pull anything out of this, positive or negative.

Pours a deep amber color with a nice white head. Features a lot a maltiness with moderate hops. Has a slight bitterness to chew on, but very pleasant to drink. At $1 per pint, its a hit!
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 drismyhero (815) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - JAN 3, 2003
This Brewery was great: $1 pints, 8-beer samplers for $2, and these great beer towers that dispense 2 pitchers of beer at your table. The beer is pretty good too, this red ale was rather unique: Fairly dark color, very malty, and laden with some perky hops. One problem with this though was a strange finish - a kind of confusing grainy/bitter taste that distracted from the otherwise pleasant experience. I like red ales for their maltiness, but this had some hops thrown in for fun...good.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Murphy (1759) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - DEC 27, 2002
This beer tastes appropriate for the style, but does not seem to stand out like a great Scottish Ale. Nevertheless, a good copy of what a scottish should taste like. Acceptable.
