Bottle. A clear, dark golden one, with a rather herbal aroma. Alcohol and honey too of course. The flavor is honey sweet with a herbal touch, something citrusy chiming in. Rather warming in the mouth, full-bodied and smooth, with a lasting herbal honey finish. A decent one, but far from the most interesting mead I’ve had. Too alcoholic. 141108

Shared 0.75l bottle with The Tasting Crew. This is a clear yellow golden one, lots of small particles floating about. I get honey, lots of pepper, boiled down green apples and some alcohol. Not to bad. Lots of warming alcohol in the taste, it’s sweet, a bit watery. Prickling on the tongue, and the aftertaste is quite on the boozy side. Strawberries, fermented plums, lots of sherry sweetness, and something wet old grassy. Almost acidic? No that’s plain straight weird. Straight forward, plain and a good mead. 20.03.2013

Bottle from Høkeren, Copenhagen, shared with brewing buddy Erlend ("ej" on Ratebeer). Clear, still and pale yellow body. Aroma is mellow honey, syrup, hints of something herbal I can only imagine is "mjødurt" ("mead herb") and some alcohol. Pretty nice, actually. Taste is honey, wood, booze and hints of mossy, herbal tones which probably also come from the "mjødurt". Not too sticky, although the sweetness feels a bit one-dimensional at times. A rather nice mead, all in all.

Clear dark golden color with no head. Aroma is sweet medicin. Flavor is some spice (mjødurt) which tastes a bit like pors. Sweet and very smooth palate.
