Tasting at Papsø’s
Pale yellow color. This mead from Mjødgård puts honey in front, before some of the phenol aroma appears. The body is lighter than the average for a mead, there is some floreal sweet honey, still not impressive, with a light herbal touch and too much alcohol; also a light feeling of plastic; weak final. Inaccurate.

Bottle @ Vinens Verden, Odense.
Pours clear dark golden with no head. Aroma is herbal, thyme, liqourice, sweet honey. No carbonation, fine fat oily mouthfeel. Flavour is actually lightly tart, good honey sweetness, flowery and herbal notes. Softly warming. Pretty nice.
