COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Beer Jökull Bjór will be our first beer to launch. The brewmasters which helped us develop this beer come from Germany and Italy. Ralf Gervert and Dr. Daniele Zanirati. They have been here in Stykkishólmur for weeks and have supervized the production and brewing of the beer. In our products we only use high quality materials and we will use the good water from Snæfellsnes Peninsula as a base in the beer. Recently the Snæfellsnes Peninsula got the Green Globe Community Standard.

Smörig doft och lite halvunken smak. Tydliga metalliske undertoner och absolut inget gott!

Bottle bought in Reykjavik in March 2011. Slightly hazy golden with a small white head. Bad aroma and taste, mostly butter, malt, bread and some notes of metal. Thin mouth feel.

Poured this beer from a bottle bought in Iceland into a pint glass. It had a mostly clear gold-amber color with a thin, foamy white head that quickly dissipated and had little cling. The aroma had some malt with a touch of chocolate and a slight grainy hops effect, it was hard to describe, one of the more peculiar aromas I’ve smelled in a beer. The taste was a sweet-sour mix with some caramel and grain, not a particularly good taste. It was somewhat creamy and wet, with low carbonation. Hate to say it, but this beer was pretty bad.

Bottle at Islenski Barin. Fruity lager, malt, honey, apricots. A hint of cardboard. All right, a bit off, wouold improve with more hops.

Cool. I get to be the first American to rate this beer. My cousin brought a bottle back from his trip to Iceland back in the summer. The beer is cloudier than I expected and there is very little head, although the beer is well carbonated. Lightly sweet, not too bad maltiness, although there’s that odd sweet flavor that I associate with rice being used, but I could be off. Slight mandarin orange flavor.

Bottled (thanks brunnsbe!). Golden colour with slight hazyness. Aroma is grainy, wooden, fruity and some rubbery and metallic notes as well. Flavour is very much the same in a rather harsh way.

Bottle. [thanks mum, dad and bigbro]
Pours pale, hazy golden with a small, fizzy, white head. Aroma has lemons, sweet maltiness. Low carbonation, watery palate. Flavour is very weird, lemons and citric, sweet malts. Not good at all!

Bottle. Clear pale yellow color with small head. This is a bad beer. Watery no flavor, impressive that they can put 5% alcohol in this tasteless beer.
