From the guys that invented Mmmmbop - Hanson.

After a few years of developing our vision and perfecting our debut recipe, we have premiered in our home state of Oklahoma, and across the Midwest with our flagship beer "Mmmhops", which is a full-bodied delicious Pale Ale, with a unique toasted malt signature and refreshing hop finish.

As a fellow Tulsan quite familiar with the Hansons, I had mixed feelings about this one long before it ever landed on shelves. Itís likely among the strongest brewed by Mustang and one of the strongest pales Iíve had. I was quite pleased with the initial tastes, but itís the finish that ruins this from being a star. They need to tweak the finish before too many taste this and cross it off their lists. Itís not ready. Go back and rework the recipe and smooth out that awful end.

12 ounce shared bottle. Pours golden orange with a nice white head. Strange aroma of citrus and malt. Taste is a similar strange. Perhaps a bad bottle.

Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - Betton - 12 oz bottle. Sparkling, medium orange pour, quickly fading bubbly white head. Aroma has some artificial citrus notes, a touch of perfume. Flavor is candy-like with some homebrew funkiness. A touch of overwrought crystal malt, light hints of citrus bitterness, some hard candy sweetness. Mouthfeel has a artificial stickiness to it. Mmmnot!

Bottle shared by Dr Silverworm. Poured hay golden color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Moderate hop and sweet malt aroma. Medium sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Soft brew.

Pours copper / orange with an off-white head. The aroma has sweet caramel malt, mush, minerals and not a lot of hops. It has a medium somewhat smooth body with a good amount of carbonation. The taste starts off with caramel toasty malt, light pine and some cotton candy. The finish has the mush of the aroma and is very astringent. Fair.

12 oz bottle from DrSilverworm. Pours a hazy golden amber color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have strange sweet, yet aged malts, pale malt, very light hops, extremely mild bitterness, not so good.

Bottle to taster (shared by DrSilverworm). Looks decent; a mildly cloudy amberish orange with off-white lacing. Smells oddly malty with some watered down bitter hop notes. Some caramel. Tastes like it smells with a medium-bodied mouthfeel. Underwhelming.

12oz bottle, shared with local raters. Purchased from a Luekens in Tampa for $2 on 2/22/15. Mostly hazy darker orange color. Little white head, leaving decent bits of lace. Caramel malt, dusty hop in the nose. Biscuit, toast. Not super-fresh, I suspect, but not too bad. Tastes like there was once a decent amount of hop flavor here, some mild pine, resin and citrus is noticeable. Medium-plus body. Smooth, crisp, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Mild bite in the finish noticeable in my 2nd taste. Moderate-plus bitter taste, very light sweet, more dry finish. Solid imperial pale ale overall, better than expected, especially considering I highly suspect the freshness here. Might have gotten worse if I had to do the whole bottle on my own.

A stale tasting boozy hopless malt bomb that somehow manages to be worse than the song. Might be the worst (uninfected) beer Iíve ever had.

Pour is a hazy orange with a large white head. Aroma is almost all sweet caramel malt. Flavor is mostly a sticky malt with no hop presence what so ever. This is poor even for a gimmick beer. Just a thrown in to complete a mix-a-six is all this is good for.

Bottle; poured a dark amber color with a whitish head. Aroma was mild, bready, must and a bit of earth. A bit weird flavor. Rotten fruit, bread and earth. Mmmbop
